We had croquettes as starters and they were all good. We ordered a bottle of cava but the waitor was too busy to refill our glasses soon after our subtle reminder for the first refill. We were good with that because we came here for seafood paella. But soon after we received the paella, we could already tell the prawns weren't fresh by their flimsy and indented heads. We tried all of them hoping to find out the first few prawns were just occasional error but we ended up with the conclusion that they all could not be more mushy than a creme brulé. The chef didn't even bother to remove the intestine (where it stores po*p in a prawn in case you are not aware of) before cooking. The mushy texture is rarely found even in frozen seafood. We have been wondering hard throughout the whole course where the restaurant sourced the prawns from in such a country of seafood. We spoke to the waiter about this and all we got was "I am sorry". The waitor's shockingly calm and short response made us wonder if customers' feedback on the bad quality of seafood was not new to him. €40(excluding other food/drink) for merely an apology, isn't it lucrative? By chance we re-read those 5-star reviews on Google and happened to realise those prawns on their paella were all as flimsy as ours. Don't we all hate to leave negative reviews? But this is what we should do now to stop this ....

Great Paella, Superb Service! El Racó de l'Agüir is a fantastic find! We had a truly great paella (the one with the seafood was amazing!) and the Patatas Bravas were perfectly crispy and creamy. What really sets this place apart is the superlative service. The staff was warm, attentive, and made the experience wonderful. Important Tip: Call in advance and book a table—you won't want to miss out!

This is a super local restaurant, very busy and with amazing food! Price is really good compared to what you get out of it! I had the paella marinera, which was amazing! Service and attention from the team was also very good... Need to reserve in advance! I did not do that, but the team was still able to find a spot for me! Which I loved about the full experience.

"Great restaurant" is not doing justice to this awesome place. Although fully booked, we were offered a place at the bar, where we got excellent advice on what to eat by the very enthusiastic and likeable employees. The food was amazing, the people working there were fabulous and we left completely satisfied and as very happy customers. If I would visit Barcelona again, I will...
