Honest Greens Barceloneta — Restaurant in Barcelona

The food was good, but our experience was negative. I want to explain why I am writing this bad review. We came to honest green barceloneta for a lunch for the first time. We were sitting outside minding our business, eating lunch and suddenly this girl dressed in red shirt came with lunch boxes and asked if she could sit next to us. We said YES but she was not happy with the answer because she wanted to sit in our seats. She was not a customer of the place and she told us that we have to leave because she wants to sit there. She works near the honest green barceloneta. She attacks random guests, she starts making drama and saying we have to leave even though we were customers of the place, she brought her own food to eat at honest green. She often goes there to eat her own food without buying anything from the honest green barceloneta. We could have called the police because she harass us. We were nice to her saying yes of course you can sit next to us. There was also many tables free without anyone sitting, but for some reason she wanted to sit in our spot. Honestly maybe this woman was having a bad day but you dont go to random people minding their business and attact them just because you want to sit in a spot which is taken, also make no sense when she was not consuming anything from the place to even sit in the area at all. Honest green Barceloneta, be aware of who is sitting on your terrace without eating anything from the the restaurant. She is using the tables and brings her own food everyday. She works near the restaurant!! Please be aware of this woman harrasing...

Normally I love Honest Greens but it seems that the brand is having the same problem as most others: The bigger they get, the worse it gets for customers.

Today, we ordered with the fast lane system and it took us 56min to get two Avocado toasts with Halloumi and Egg as extras. The worst about this: The service was rude! We asked after 30min if everything‘s okay with the order. The short answer was „We prioritize ‚To go‘ orders right now, so you have to wait a little bit more, what‘s you name again - I will talk to the kitchen to speed up?“ After another 15min without getting the food but seeing the waiter with our order running back to the kitchen, we talked to another waiter. He was a bit annoyed and told us he will bring us our order immediately - after 10min we received only one Avocado toast and by its taste, it was definitely the one the other waiter had before: It was very dry and the Halloumi was not „juicy“ anymore. The other bread came 5min later and got „smashed“ on out table - the quality of the bread was a tack better.

Long story short: Guys, seriously - what did happen? Honest Greens was one of my „Go to“ restaurants but this is just a joke. And I am probably one of the nicest customers - to get me „upset“ is really a challenge but the experience today was just bad. Hopefully this will get better and you work on...

First of all, I have to say that I really like Honest Greens for what they are doing. The concept in it self, the fresh food, all the vegetarian/vegan options, the portions, and not the least that dogs are welcome inside. 👌 However, the last visit in January was a bit disappointing. My friend ordered the Honest Poke Bowl but got a mixture of that and something else. They missed the sweet potato & the adamame. She was ok with the sweet potato missing but wanted the adamame so she told the staff who apologised & asked for the adamame. She got a small bowl with frozen adamame that was stuck together, which we both found to be very unprofessional. We were sitting just half a meter from the guy fixing the food plates but decided not to say anything. To me, it's beyond my understanding why you would serve frozen icy food to someone and have to be told about it. So first the plate was not correct and then be given frozen food was not a good experience. It's like he either didn't see it or didn't care because it was very clear that it was frozen, as you can see in the photo. Anyhow, we still like Honest Greens and hope for a better experience next time. This particular restaurant also has a great location by the beach.
