Very lengthy but honest review.
Arrived at bastian to be turned away and told to come back in 30 minutes with no explanation given, we then turned back up to be turned away again and was told we could not enter due to the yoga classes being took place even with people in the beach club? It doesn’t state online that you can’t enter during these classes so unsure on why you can book something from 12-8 if their are classes at 11:30-12:30 and 12:30-1:30.
Once we sat down on our bed we thought great a drink will help with the pain we’ve just been put through. We ordered 2 sex on the beaches and 1 amaretto and coke. It took me three times to ask for the drinks as we were waiting for over an hour. After having this service go on for roughly two hours we managed to sort our drinks, once the drink came we had to ask for the same drinks again just to take in consideration that we might of drank our drinks and they might of still not come in time.
The third thing was the food we ordered two burgers that came literally raw in the inside, I will be honest we didn’t complain about this however the manager had realised we both took one bite and left the rest and he took it off the bill. Which I appreciate.
Lastly to round it off it gets a lot better around 3/4pm as it seems a lot more staff were on shift then so drinks and food were coming quicker however it was about 15-20 minute way. We then decided to ask for the bill and as usual they did that immediately which made us laugh!
I would personally not go hear again as the service and food totally put me off however the beach club...
Read moreDisappointment! This beach club has huge potential, as it’s practically the only real beach club in Barcelona, but unfortunately 70% of the experience depends on the staff and management – and here they are the weakest part. The manager especially has an enormous ego and zero communication skills. He behaves rudely and even when he smiles, it’s always ironic and unpleasant.
I came on vacation with a friend and we spent around €500 here, yet were made to feel uncomfortable even ordering something, as if everything was for free. There is no sense of hospitality, no proper service, and certainly nothing close to a top-level experience. When I politely said we didn’t like the way we were treated, I was told, “we’re not slaves,” which is absolutely unacceptable – we never spoke to anyone in such a way.
The only slightly positive moment was when someone in a higher position (director or senior manager) seemed to notice the situation. After his intervention the staff tried to improve, but it was done reluctantly and without genuine hospitality – and that was very obvious.
The manager’s behavior ruined the whole experience. Because of this, a place with such potential will quickly gain a bad reputation (and judging by other reviews, it already has).
I regret not checking reviews beforehand, because I would never have gone. I will definitely not return, and I will also advise all my friends who ask me about the best places in Barcelona to avoid this beach club.
My only advice: improve your attitude towards guests – otherwise the future of this place...

While the venue itself is aesthetically pleasing, unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. I wouldn’t recommend Bastian Beach Club beyond its looks.
The pool water was uncomfortably warm—not refreshing at all given the summer heat. The hostesses were cold and unfriendly, which immediately set a poor tone for the day.
We booked two beds for a group of eight and ordered two bottles (250€ each). I explicitly asked the waitress whether mixers like soda and tonic were included in the bottle price, and she assured me they were. However, when the bill came, she said only 12 mixers were included—this kind of bait-and-switch is completely unprofessional. If there’s a limit, it should be clearly communicated upfront, especially when asked directly.
To make matters worse, they don’t provide a menu with prices for non-alcoholic drinks. We ordered 13 bottles (0.5L) of the cheapest water—something that costs around 0.29€ in shops—and were charged a jaw-dropping 10€ per bottle. That’s not just overpriced; it’s borderline insulting.
All in all, this place feels like a tourist trap. The attitude, lack of transparency, and ridiculous pricing model left a very sour taste. I expected high prices, but I didn’t expect to feel scammed. There are far better beach clubs with better service and more respect for...
