Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience at this restaurant. Together with my family I drank a coffee and wanted to eat a slice of cake. We ordered it at the bar. Since my son has seriously allergies to sesame and certain nuts I asked one of the staff members about this relating to the cake. First I asked about sesame since it's being used often in vegan food. The staff member understood the question clearly, in English, and mentioned there is no sesame in the cake. Since I forgot about the nuts, I went back and double check on the sesame and nuts in the cake. I mentioned my son is seriously allergic to it and wanted to make sure it's good. The staff member friendly informed me that both nuts and sesame are not in the cake. I told my son everything was ok and he could eat. But with the very first bite he could feel is mouth itching and did not even completely his first bite. Within the hour he started to feel worse and worse. We went to a pharmacy nearby and gave him allergy blockers. After an hour after the bite he had to vomit. This made it all to clear that he was having an allergic reaction to the cake. By the time we got back home we checked the menu on the website and it showed the cake DOES contain nuts.

I am really angry with the staff member who happily said there are no sesame seeds or nuts in the cake which it clearly does. I'm surprised it was not taken seriously despite asking about it twice! If my son would have eaten the cake completely he could have been hospitalised or worse.

I suggest the restaurant train their staff members properly and inform them about the impact of an actual allergy.
