Terrible service, older waitress is very rude. Reading the other reviews, I see I'm not the only one finding your service appalling. Never seen a more aggressive behaviour from a waitress... and in front of kids! Apparently, they don't care to lose customers who don't like to be mistreated. That's probably why the place is always so empty - sad!
We bought a couple of bottles of water (5 euros, not a glass of water like stated in your reply) and sat outside with my son. The older waitress started to stare at us right away (evidently, she thought two overpriced bottles of water were not enough to sit at a table - even if all the tables were empty at that time, except one). After a few minutes, my 4 years old daughter joined us with my wife, eating a croissant from the bakery in front: all hell broke loose! The older waitress dashed in our direction, with menus in her hands, shaking with rage, and intimated us to order something more or leave immediately because the croissant hadn't been bought there. She continued to harass us non-stop, mocking us (calling me "papi"); so, I simply asked her: "why are you doing it, calm down, we are consuming our order, it's just a small kid eating a snack you don't sell anyway. You are a waitress, you are supposed to treat customers nicely, and this place is empty!" She didn't have a good answer to that, so she just left but not before calling me some more names. It turns out she was furious because the bakery in front is very successful and oftentimes their customers overflow onto their empty tables. So their strategy is to kick out their actual customers: genius.
The owner's reply is pure gaslighting (you were the ones being aggressive). Get your house in order before you close down for good - or not (you are not going to be...
Read moreI bought a juice cleanse today, I look forward to the product but wanted to share my experience when purchasing. Since the website was down I went into the store to order. They were out of two juices so I just swapped them out for different ones which I’m totally cool with. I was told each juice was full price so I pulled up the insta post on prices which were less for a whole cleanse. The cashier told me they raised the price recently, went and checked in the back and said if I buy 5 I get a 6th free. So I get my juices and go to check out as another party comes in, I step back to be polite and then when I walk up the cashier tells me she’ll be a minute so I say no rush (you get what you ask for) and she makes drinks, clears tables, and slowly makes her way back to me. I work service so I get the hustle but it didn’t feel right. So she scans me out and when she tells me the total I clarify “that is for 5 plus the bonus?” She says yes (I just have a gut feeling beginning) and when I pay I don’t grab my receipt out of muscle memory. I walk about a block while calculating in my head and realized I was charged +7 a whole juice. So I decide to walk back and ask for my receipt to which before she even gives me it says “oh wait I charged you for 7, I thought you got 7” and I got a refund on the last. But I felt like she was trying to pull one over on me and was caught. I mean we put the 6 in a box with 6 place holders together and clarified on the deal more than once. Whether it was an accident which as a hypervigilent person I doubt, but if it was I still recommend always be on your look out and trust your gut. On principle over...
Read moreMy daughter organised lunch here yesterday. She is into the whole green, environmental, vegan, zero waste thing, which I fully support but such ethical standards are not supported by Green and Berry
First, we ordered drinks and they came in plastic bottles. We asked if the bottles were reused after use and the waitress told us that they weren't, but they were made of special plastic, I am still not sure what she meant by this. She said that they had to be in plastic bottles because the juices are made in the morning - so they are not actually freshly made.
Initially, we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated and they placed 5 of us on two tiny round tables. Little did we know that one table was unstable, and as it rocked, the pancakes slid off the table onto the floor.
I explained to the waitress and she said, "Well, we had to wait so long to seat you that that was the only space available." It was as if the incident was our responsibility.
Furthermore she insisted that we had to pay for the food that fell on the floor. It's outrageous. The waitress apologised but insisted we still had to pay.
While the food is supposed to be healthy and green, in my experience the company is dishonest, uncaring and greedy and I felt utterly ripped off.
