La Fresca — Restaurant in Barcelona

After strolling along the promenade and being annoyed by all the "eat here" guys, we left the main street looking for a not so touristy location. We found the small and cute "La Fresca", which serves tapas and some other dishes. We were greeted very friendly and patiently talked though the menu, including recommendations. The team took care of any extra wish we had, even though this meant they had to return to our table once or twice more often than they probably have to usually. The tapas we chose were, from what I can tell, authentic and tasted really good. Our recommendation is to try the vegetables with goat cheese, the fried squid rings and the "Bomba". Everything else was good too, but these dishes were on top of all for us. For two persons, 6 tapas, 2 deserts plus drinks we paid a little less than 50€ which I think is more than...

And I had it without ketchup!

I am a ketchup obsessed, to be clear, a Heinz ketchup obsessed.

Normally I fill my burger with lots of ketchup and have ketchup with fries.

Not only cause I love ketchup but because, unfortunately, most of the times, burgers do not have a definite tastes.

Maybe they taste a bit of meat, or of the sauces they already put inside, but nothing special…

Except this time.

La Fresca burger, the meat, was so tasty and delicious, simple and straightforward, tomatoes lettuce and cheese. But so so so tasty. Omg!

I did not add any ketchup, not cause they don’t have Heinz’s, but cause this burger was so good on its own, it did not need any help!
