We ordered a paella for dinner, and on the menu, and it said 18 euro, Me and my boyfriend are international students living in Barcelona, and never once have we been to a restaurant where if the menu simply says 18€ that does not mean 18€ per person unless stated before hand by a waiter or on the menu itself. We spoke to them and they insisted that “if two people walk in and order a paella we charge them the bigger portion”. This was NO where stated on the menu, there was not an option to choose paella size, as you can tell by their google photos and online menu. THIS IS A TOURIST SCAM, and although we are international students we have been here for almost 3 years and have never been treated so poorly because of it. The waitress at the begging asked us if we wanted two paellas, we ordered the paella con pollo sin chorrizo (she suggested we get one with and one without) and we very clearly said no, we just want one paella.
We had a fluent Spanish speaking friend call and ask about their paella portions, and if her and a friend ordered one if that would be okay, she also asked if being two people would affect the price. The person on the phone replied that if they ordered one paella then it would be the price stated on the menu. SO IT WAS A TOURIST SCAM.
The biggest scam and probably the worst restaurant I’ve...
Read moreI visited this place because it was highly rated. In order to be objective though, I need to say that even though the food was good, the lady who "welcomed" us was extremely impolite. She might had been tired, she might had her own issues, but when a costumer comes, especially from abroad (which means that he is not aware of your habits and ways) you need to be patient and polite. We might have not been the easiest customers, but that does not give her the right to treat us like that. I really wanted to leave the restaurant and go somewhere else. The whole situation was saved by her colleague who was extremely nice and who tried to solve everything with his smile and his gentleness, other wise I would have gone for one star and that is because when you go out for dinning you expect to eat good and in a friendly environment, especially when you...
Read moreDISGUSTING hair in food and bad service. Glass of Sangria (not good, mostly ice) - 15 euro Paella for 2 - around 60 euro, for a small portion each. We found hair in the paella. Proper lunch will cost you 100+ euro for average food and bad Sangria. Rip off. Avoid this place.
After 1 hour and 90 euro bill, they kicked us out to make room for new victims to overcharge and kick out again.
They straight away bring you the bill if they believe you will not order anything expensive but just a coffee after you finish the main dish. Our son fell asleep on the chair and they made us wake him up! We have not even finished what was on the table and they came to ask us to leave soon?!
The food was not that great as well. Tourist trap where they only care about money. Nothing to do with Spanish food you want...
