A Brief Coffee Stop
During a recent visit to Brunch & Cake by the Sea, we stopped by for a quick coffee break. Unfortunately, the kitchen had closed by the time we arrived.
We ordered a latte and an oat chai latte; however, but were served with regular milk instead of the oat milk. While the beverages were acceptable, they didn’t quite meet our expectations.
The server was friendly and accommodating, contributing positively to our experience. However, due to the high traffic in the area, the café appeared somewhat untidy during our visit.
Brunch & Cake is known for its innovative and fresh menu, offering colorful and fun food with generous portions and great value for money. The service is often praised as impeccable, and the atmosphere is described as calm and gentle.
It’s worth noting that the café can become quite busy, especially given its proximity to the sea, which may impact both service and ambiance. Despite our experience, many patrons have enjoyed their visits, highlighting the friendly staff and well-presented dishes.
In summary, while our brief stop at Brunch & Cake by the Sea had its challenges, the café’s reputation for quality food and service suggests it may be worth another visit, perhaps at a less busy time or when the kitchen is open to fully experience...

Read moreWe came to this café because we had it saved from one of our previous trips. When we arrived, we had to wait quite a while since all the outdoor tables — where we wanted to sit — were taken, and it was pretty stuffy inside.
We ordered desserts — red velvet, chocolate cake, and cheesecake — along with different drinks: wine, tea, hot chocolate, and fresh orange juice. All the desserts were delicious, especially the red velvet — it was our favorite! The juice didn’t seem freshly squeezed, but oh well, we were still happy overall.
The only thing that surprised us was that they added a 10% service charge for sitting outside. It was mentioned in the menu, but still a bit unexpected.
Overall, we had a great impression. The only real downside was that it took them quite a while to clear the tables after guests left — during that time, flocks of pigeons would swoop in and walk all over the plates. Then those same dishes go into the dishwasher… and who knows if the staff washes their hands after handling them.
Other than that, it’s a great, lively spot not far from the port. If they take these small details into account, it’ll be...
