A Brief Coffee Stop

During a recent visit to Brunch & Cake by the Sea, we stopped by for a quick coffee break. Unfortunately, the kitchen had closed by the time we arrived.

We ordered a latte and an oat chai latte; however, but were served with regular milk instead of the oat milk. While the beverages were acceptable, they didn’t quite meet our expectations.

The server was friendly and accommodating, contributing positively to our experience. However, due to the high traffic in the area, the café appeared somewhat untidy during our visit.

Brunch & Cake is known for its innovative and fresh menu, offering colorful and fun food with generous portions and great value for money. The service is often praised as impeccable, and the atmosphere is described as calm and gentle.

It’s worth noting that the café can become quite busy, especially given its proximity to the sea, which may impact both service and ambiance. Despite our experience, many patrons have enjoyed their visits, highlighting the friendly staff and well-presented dishes.

In summary, while our brief stop at Brunch & Cake by the Sea had its challenges, the café’s reputation for quality food and service suggests it may be worth another visit, perhaps at a less busy time or when the kitchen is open to fully experience...

A Must-Visit Brunch Spot in Barcelona: Brunch & Cake Barceloneta

My experience at Brunch & Cake Barceloneta was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality by Nazarena, the receptionist, who made me feel instantly welcomed.

The ambiance of Brunch & Cake Barceloneta is simply beautiful, with a cozy and inviting decor that adds to the overall delightful experience.

Special mention goes to Carla, our waitress, who provided exemplary attention throughout our brunch. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed, enhancing our brunch experience significantly.

Candela, the barista, also stood out with her patience and sweetness as she took the time to explain the intricate details of various beverages. Her knowledge and passion truly elevated our appreciation for the drinks we enjoyed.

We indulged in the Next Level Avo Toast and the New York Cheesecake Pancakes, both of which were absolutely delicious and lived up to their enticing names. The flavors were perfectly balanced, making each bite a joy.

Brunch & Cake Barceloneta is undoubtedly a must-visit spot in Barcelona. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, this place should be at the top of your list for an unforgettable brunch...

We came to this café because we had it saved from one of our previous trips. When we arrived, we had to wait quite a while since all the outdoor tables — where we wanted to sit — were taken, and it was pretty stuffy inside.

We ordered desserts — red velvet, chocolate cake, and cheesecake — along with different drinks: wine, tea, hot chocolate, and fresh orange juice. All the desserts were delicious, especially the red velvet — it was our favorite! The juice didn’t seem freshly squeezed, but oh well, we were still happy overall.

The only thing that surprised us was that they added a 10% service charge for sitting outside. It was mentioned in the menu, but still a bit unexpected.

Overall, we had a great impression. The only real downside was that it took them quite a while to clear the tables after guests left — during that time, flocks of pigeons would swoop in and walk all over the plates. Then those same dishes go into the dishwasher… and who knows if the staff washes their hands after handling them.

Other than that, it’s a great, lively spot not far from the port. If they take these small details into account, it’ll be...

Very friendly staff. You have to use barcode reader to get the menu - kinda new to it but it was cool though. Brunch and cake big bowl salad was very tasty and very big serving - this can be good for two persons or to share in a group. Totally recommend to try this one. Breakfast platter is ok. Yogurt with blueberry sauce is nice and it comes with nuts which makes it a bit with texture. The banana loaf though is very grainy - not a good texture for me and I can barely taste the flavor on it. It comes with almond butter, raspberry and strawberry fruits. Also there is fruit area with sliced apples, strawberry, banana, grapes, pineapple and sliced dragonfruit plated in a sliced pineapple. There is also avocado covered with sesame seeds. I just took bit of this. This platter includes a shot of OJ. Benedict eggs are very nice, although my husband said the hollandaise was a bit buttery for his taste and did not like the homemade black bread. I was able to get a bite of it - kinda taste like waffle for me - too sweet for my husband's palate.
