This is a very sad edit after a very nice review I left almost 2 years ago. We were eating here a lot, even brining and sending our clients when they came to town and our last experience while celebrating our baby’s baptism was very sad. I did write everything what happened but it was very long.
So to cut it short - both me and my husband work with people and are totally aware mistakes can happen. And its totally normal. However, when they do happen, u have to know how to deal with them and how to communicate with your client. Restaurant was overbooked, service was bad, the best person there (Tomas) was not there and the boss and his daughter just didnt know how to handle an advice that this day, there were a lot of mistakes.
They didnt let us talk, kept saying all was ok. Boss did apologize to me afterwards. Everything ended up by me telling a girl - “I will pay u everything, of course, but what I would have done in this situation, I would offer to a client - from 5 empanadas you bought to take away, 2 are on the house!” And then she lost it. She started yelling at me saying i want to take away money from them and that she wont give us any discount cuz we were talking in front of her in a language she doesnt speak and for all she knows we could have been talking about her (?!?). Nobody talked about her :) but most of our guests dont speak Spanish. When I asked her for the name of the boss (her father), she didnt want to tell me. She did after 3x asking.
Anyway - either they dont know how to handle mistakes or they dont care. I choose to believe that they dont know.
Actually we wanted to go to Lidl but we were so hungry that we ended up at this restaurant! And it was an amazing surprise for sure. Meat was excellent! Made exactly how its made in Argentina and also the taste was just great! We had asado, entraña, salads and home made pasta - all was amazing.
Also the service was extraordinary. Tomas was the guy attending us and he was really nice. Very important to mention - we came with our 3 kids and they have offered us high chair for our baby and were very nice to all of our kids.
Prices are very reasonable for the highly quality food and great service!
For sure we ll come back! Thank you :)
PS = sorry for not taking photos when we received the food but we were just...

Read moreif you are in Barcelona you need to pay a visit at this little gem of the Argentinian restaurant. everything about this restaurant was perfect from well prepared and deliciously made food to the excellent service we had from the staff. we tried many restaurants while visiting Barcelona including some Michelin star nominated and 5 star cruise line restaurants but this was by far our favorite restaurant. we tied the mix grill, the argentinean stakes and empanadas and we found all dishes made to perfection. the cherry on the top was the treatment of the owner and the staff at the restaurant. we also tried the cheesecake, lemon pie.and other deserts in the menu and found everything freshly and perfectly made. the dessert was by far the best we had in Barcelona and we had some food tour of excellent places before trying this among the 5 star cruise line restaurant. The staff spoke perfect English and had no problem communicating and attending to our needs. overall one of the if not the best restaurants we had visited...
