La Porca — Restaurant in Barcelona

I DON'T LIKE MEAT VERY MUCH...BUT

THIS PLACE!!!! Guys, please please please go here. I can't even begin to express my absolute obsession with their hamburgers! If I had to describe myself, carnivore would not be one of the first adjectives I'd choose but WOW that burger was good. Being from the US and raised on Nebraska beef, I'd say I'm definitely a bit picky when it comes to eating burgers in BCN... If I were a major meat lover, I'd probably be here once a week for this burger.

The prices are super affordable, food is absolutely banging, and the service is spot on. Mireia (I think that was her name, I'm sorry if it wasn't!) was so nice and super passionate when she was recommending what we should order... She also was just super nice and attentive in general to everyone, and made the experience even better.

The dessert was one of the most sinful, delicious indulgences I've had in a while. Be warned - you're going to have to put in some serious gym time after eating here cause it's a total calorie bomb, and...

La Porca is a true hidden gem in Barcelona. Our experience started with our wonderful server, Stephan. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, he gave great suggestions, answered any questions we had and he was super friendly. The sangria was light and delicious some of the best we had on our trip. Now on to the food. WOW! I ordered the La Porca sandwich and it was amazing. The flavors worked perfectly, the bread was fresh and it was a great portion. We also had an order of the potatoes bravas, we enjoyed the two sauces on top and the crisp on the potato was fantastic. PROS: Patatas estrelladas. Probably the best starter they have on their menu. Come with LOTS of crispy bacon.

Burgers. Top quality ingredients and very good taste. I had the pulled cheese burger and despite its small size, it was exquisite.

CONS:

Some burgers don´t include fries, not even the most expensive ones on their menu (14.95€, 13.95€).

Burger size. Despite their delectable taste, the portions of burgers they provide are relatively small.

Desserts. We tried the cheesecake and the Ice cream brioche. Consider passing on them to save those extra indulgent calories. Your waistline...
