Mamma Italia — Restaurant in Barcelona

Have nothing but good things to say about this place. We were hesitating between Pizza market or this place for the night. We quickly had a look for the first one but decided to check Mama Italia as well as it is just next to it. Absolutely no regret to give my money to that restaurant. The pizza was good, the price was good too, the pana gotta good, the girlfriend loved what she ate too (pizza and tiramisu). Also had a pep talk with the big boss... he’s not only friendly, he can also speak and switch langages easily which made the whole interaction and moment there better. LAST but not least things to say is that, we ended up around 11pm, massive storm and rain outside. He gave us an umbrella to get back as dry as possible.. Just don’t even hesitate to go to that place. The food, the price and the humans from this place are good...

When I called to order out, the man who answered was incredibly rude to me. He actually hung up on me the first time because he had trouble understanding me and wouldn't give me long enough to figure out how to explain myself. When I called back he kept interrupting me and was very annoyed when I asked for a bacon topping to be removed from a dish. When we picked up the food they did undercharge us and give us free Nutella bread, which I think was them trying to apologize? We had pasta and it was undercooked and cold. I've made better spaghetti in ten minutes at home. The Nutella was good, of course, but the bread was tough, chewy, and flavorless. I can't understand all these amazing reviews -- nothing about this experience was good...

This restaurant really has a cozy ristorante-atmosphere with very laidback and chill staff. The interior feels thought out and isn't just a clutter of random things. While we were there, they were playing italian popmusic which really lifted the spirit of both guests and servers; I even found myself trying to sing along.

So I have only eaten here once and I chose their Marinara which was rich in flavour. Maybe it was only my choice of pizza but I hope next time that the pizza I choose, will have a more robust pizzabase so I don't have to scoop up the ingredients back on the pizza (or folding).
