tl;dr: looks good, tastes good. Not the best if you’re super hungry
After working up an appetite during a day of exploring Barcelona with Girlfriend, we decided to come here for dinner.
The place looks pretty good and even fancy, one could say. We were greeted at the door by a very nice gentleman who showed us to our table and explained the QR code menu system (which is becoming standard after the pandemic apparently). Prices were on the higher side, but we were getting hangry so we didn’t care much.
Ordered crab cakes as appetizer. The house offered us a small plate of bread and (two large) chips to go with some house sauces, one of which was truly spicy. Nice! Crab cakes were nicely presented and very tasty. Just small. I got the aguachile, Girlfriend got the fish quesadillas. Again, nicely presented and tasty (aguachile was too limey though), but small and on the expensive side of things.
Our server was very nice, and spoke English to Girlfriend, who doesn’t speak Spanish. Dishes were served quickly.
Overall a pretty nice place for some gourmet-ish Mexican food if you’re not too hungry and don’t mind spending a little more than in other...

Let me start with especial mention to the service: you feel warmly and greatly since the the first step into the restaurant until you leave: extremely good service end-to-end. Cuisine is at the same level: fresh, innovative, well presented, well cooked, balance menu... We tasted a broad range of the dishes available and can not tell which one is best. Special mention to the tuna toast and the two main dishes, the grilled gold fish and the octopus: delicious!
No wine this time as we stick to both traditional beers and some news knew too. Thy do have also few flavoured waters (mango one is very good too).
Deco is totally aligned with everything else: excellent, warm, stylish. There is also a small patio inside to take coffe or drinks.
A Mexican different to the usual ones. It is a definitely a must!

With beautiful relaxed mexican design (LOTS OF WICKER AND WOOD) it’s truly one of the most comfortable restaurants I’ve been in. The food is a whole other culinary experience. We went with only the waiters recommendations and he was SPOT ON! Everything they brought to the table was well balanced, refined and packed full of flavor. Fresh fish in a way I’ve never had it before and could eat for the rest of my life.
If you miss out on the tuna tostadas you are missing out on one the best dishes I’ve had. The desserts (we had all of them) were to die for. And when in doubt the waiters know what you will like!
The price was almost too low for the quality of the dishes! 50€ per person with 2 bottles of wine and 3 margaritas included in the price was just the cherry on top!
Truly an incredible culinary experience! Will be back...
