I chose this place because it was close to where I was staying and offers quick, ready-made dishes like shawarma.
Atmosphere and Location The atmosphere feels a bit neglected, with old furniture and interior decor that could definitely use some renovation. It has a rustic charm, but could benefit from an update to make it feel more welcoming.
Service An older gentleman took our order at the table. While he didn’t speak English, he seemed to understand well enough. He was very friendly, a bit hurried, and quite humorous, which added a bit of charm to the experience. He brought our order quickly and accurately.
Food We ordered the lamb shawarma sandwich and kafta shawarma, and both were very tasty. They were served in small pita wraps, but the meat was flavorful and satisfying.
Value for Money The prices are affordable, with a shawarma costing around 5 euros. The menu is small, mainly focused on shawarma dishes and alcoholic drinks, but it covers the essentials.
Recommendation and Conclusion Overall, I would recommend this place for a quick, casual meal that doesn’t aim to be fancy but delivers good taste at...
Read moreI unfortunately have mixed feelings about the place. Yes indeed Musta and his Son? are two super nice people, very welcoming and energetic.
The food itself has a fair price value. I paid 5.50 for a Shawarma 2, something for small fries and 3 Euro for the Hummus.
The hummus is amazing and I still have some for today’s meal and I am very much looking forward to it. The fries are okay, not too crispy, but it works.
The shawarma, well, it’s hard to rate it. When I came in I checked the skewer and considered leaving to be honest. It was the dryest skewer I have ever seen. Like dry in terms of nothing dripping, just overly grilled pieces of meat. To no surprise, the meat was super dry, although with a nice flavour. The sauce somehow saved the shawarma.
It could have been amazing but my expectations got a little damped. My suggestion, ask the producer to add layers of fat throughout and especially on top, this will drip down over the time, keep the meat moist and incorporate more flavour. Also please don’t pre prep the meat, as in cut of and then throw on the plancha, it just worsens a great...
Read moreI guess when you don't know what's good shawarma, this could be considered a good meal. Highly recommend by many of my colleagues I came here with high expectations and was harshly disappointed by virtually everything at this restaurant. We ordered two shawarma Plato's. One lamb, one chicken. Both plates took over 20 minutes to arrive, the meat was well seasoned but very dry. The humous was probably home made but nothing special. On the side there was a bit of ice Berg and a slice of tomato. Some white sauce. That's it. Would have given one star but since this is a different country I don't wanna be to harsh with the ratings. I guess it all makes sense when considering that there's a very small libanese Community. I mean, would you expect to get fantastic viatnamese food cooked by Czech chefs in a Polish Village? - exactly!
Update: when I tried to pay, they wanted to charge 24 EUR instead of 17 EUR. obviously I complained...
