A great experience! Started off walking through a local market getting familiarized with how the locals do things. Grabbed our muscles and clams and then it was a short walk to the store front. With a few short lessons and some minor prep work we were frying up some onions and peppers while sipping on homemade sangria and snacking on some meat and cheese. The paella was outstanding. Flavors combined in such a wonderful and tantalizing way. You can truly taste the work and authenticity that was put into the dish. Dessert was the traditional Catalan Cream, always a favorite. Simple yet elegant and aromatic. Our chef, Mathew, was very welcoming and informative. Great conversationalist and knowledgeable in Spanish cuisine. 11/10, cannot wait to make this dish when we return from our trip!

Last week, I joined the Barcelona Paella Experience cooking class – and it was amazing! The activity started with a market tour, which was one of my favorite parts. We went to a local market where we saw lots of fresh seafood, vegetables, and spices. It was really interesting to learn more about the food culture in Spain and see where locals shop. After the market tour, we went back to the kitchen and started cooking. We made a traditional Spanish paella together as a group. The chef explained every step, and we also learned some cooking tips. It was fun to cook all together – we laughed a lot, and everyone helped out. At the end, we all sat down and enjoyed the delicious paella we made. It was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona!

I booked the Barcelona Paella Experience with a group of friends visiting the city, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The whole experience was super fun, very hands-on, and—most importantly—absolutely delicious. We especially loved the market tour at the beginning; it was a fantastic dive into Barcelona’s local food culture, beautifully explained and guided. It really gave us context for the ingredients and traditions behind this iconic dish. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Barcelona who wants not just to taste, but to learn how to cook authentic paella with professional chefs. A perfect mix of culture, cooking, and great food!

Our family had an incredible experience with Chef Marta on her market tour and paella class! From the moment we met her, she was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took us through the local market, teaching us about fresh ingredients and Spanish culinary traditions in a way that was both informative and fun.

What truly made the experience special was how wonderful she was with our three kids. She kept them engaged, giving them hands-on tasks and making them feel like little chefs. They loved every minute of it! The paella we made together was absolutely delicious, and we left not only with full stomachs but also with a deeper appreciation for Spanish cuisine.

If you’re in Barcelona and looking for an authentic, family-friendly cooking experience, this is a must-do. Thank you, Chef Marta, for a...
