I want to report a thing just happened to me yesterday morning and really make me angry with this restaurant named “Elj apo nes”.
First, I came to the restaurant named "ELJ APO NES", so we order few things and after the lunch, we paid and left. I was doing the price check with my friend, and we found out that the restaurant had charged us extra money for the total, so we decided to go back the restaurant and want to give a double check.
After we walk into the restaurant, I ask one of the waitresses that I had a concerned with the check, so she asks me to find the manager, and things are so rude happened from now. The manager take out the money and throw it to the desk to us and being so rude to me and my friend, also he was saying" ok, I gave you back the money, you can go now."
I was like what do you mean about that? He also said," you are the one made a mistake and you should be the one to check the check before you paid, so you should take the mistake." I was so angry about what he said about this, I am the customer and I did not understand the Spanish, so how can I be so sure about every plate? I believe this restaurant is a very good restaurant until today, I think if this restaurant is a professional restaurant, all the waiter, and waitress and also the manager should be very careful when you doing the order and check.
This rude manager also said, "everyone made a mistake, so what? You can do whatever you want!" What is so what? Every professional restaurant should never say anything to the customer like this attitude, and he was so rude to me in front of everyone in the restaurant tonight. He said I am being so rude since I walk in, but all the camera in the restaurant and everyone in the restaurant saw me I was very quiet to ask a waiter that I had an issue with my check.
Everything happened after this rude manager throws the money to the desk to me, he was very disrespectful to all the women, and I am very angry about this. I spent almost 150 eros, and I do not have to argue for you with only 20 euros, this manager was very unrespectful and rude to me and all my friend and even all the women...
Read moreA Shockingly Unprofessional and Unsafe Dining Experience
I recently dined at ELJ APO NES expecting sophistication but got a nightmare of poor service, dirty dishes, and inedible food. For the prices they charge, this lack of care is beyond unacceptable.
Cleanliness? Nowhere in sight. Our plates arrived greasy, so I politely asked for clean ones. The waitress rolled her eyes, swiped her finger over my plate, and said, “It’s the ceramics.” Really? Basic restaurant hygiene should prevent a staff member from swiping a customer’s plate with bare hands. Begrudgingly, she replaced them, but the attitude was clear. Our glasses were no better, giving off a sour, unwashed smell that made us wary of drinking anything.
The food? Even worse. My avocado and cucumber sushi had oily rice and low-grade seaweed that tasted stale, nothing like the fresh flavors you’d expect. The soy sauce was cloying and off-putting; I couldn’t eat more than a bite. My husband tried it and agreed—it was awful and seemed unsafe to eat.
The real shocker was their blatant disregard for allergies. I warned them about my severe allergies to chili and nuts when I made the reservation and reminded the waitress upon ordering, requesting no chili in my gyoza. Yet, it arrived with a chili sauce—a careless, dangerous oversight that could have caused a life-threatening reaction. Unforgivable.
To top it off, the menu was littered with embarrassing errors. “Sishimi”? Clearly a misspelling of “shichimi togarashi.” For a restaurant with premium prices, this sloppiness shows a complete lack of respect for Japanese cuisine.
Our overall experience was a shocking combination of dirty dishware, hostile service, and inedible food. ELJ APO NES operates with such disregard for quality and respect for diners that it’s baffling they are in business at all, let alone presenting themselves as a high-end dining option. I wouldn’t just discourage a visit; I’d strongly recommend steering clear. Save your money and health for a restaurant that values its customers and understands the basics of...
Read more47 euro tip?
I had a gift card in the amount of 100 EUR. We went 2 people and had a normal lunch. Our bill was 53 EUR. When I wanted to pay, the waiter told me that it was a one-time-voucher and it was not possible to use the resting 47 EUR in a next visit. He offered me to pay the bill with my money and come again with more people in order to take advantage of the whole sum (which of course I will not do ever) and not lose the 47 EUR.
They told me that I should have said at the beginning I had a voucher, so they would have explained to me how it worked ?!? And they were explaining to me the difference between a gift ticket, gift card on a smartphone and a physical gift card (because the last one is supposed to be for multiple visits according to them (in general)) The waiter was kind to call the administration or boss to check if it was possible to do something about the aprox. 50% of the whole amount and the answer was "No, restaurant´s policy".
I checked afterwards, when you buy the gift card, they tell you in the small text that it is a voucher for only one visit. BUT it is NOT written on the gift card. How is the person who receives the gift card supposed to know about it? Or when you give a present to someone, you say "Btw, it is only for one visit, keep it in mind." Ridiculous.
Well, as the kitchen was already closed, I found myself "forced" to take away desserts, like 7 mojis and pralines in the amount of 47 EUR (do not know if to laugh or cry now when looking back) just in order not to let them the money. Of course no tip left.
What a pity for them choosing this policy instead of thinking on the long run and have happy guests.
The food was ok and the waiters kind. Especially one of the waitresses was really positive and cheerful. Nevertheless, I will not come back neither recommend due to this...
