Ramen Casolans Restaurant — Restaurant in Barcelona

This restaurant needs an honest review: I have no clue why this restaurant has such a high rating (I hope they are not buying their reviews but something is not right here).

The ramen we ordered was absolutely terrible, it was more like a weakened down vegetable stock with some chunks of overcooked chicken meat in it. We also got 1 leaf of Pak Choi in the entire bowl and the noodles were not ramen at all. If you are looking for actual Ramen, stay away from this place!

Others things to note from our only visit here: Next to the ramen we ordered fried noodles with beef. What we got was fried noodles with chicken (which was the same overcooked/dry chicken as we got in the "ramen"). Also, the lady tried to speak to us in spanish (which we do not speak) and continued in Spanish even after we made it clear we did not understand her. After this, she brought another set of spoons/chopsticks to our table (which we didn't need because there was already a set on our table). When she left, another customer walked to our table to grab it, since it was apparently meant for him. The younger guy waiter was actually really friendly, but unfortunately messed up our order.

Overall: Not ramen, sloppy waiting,...

We just arrived in Spain and were looking for a good place to have a warm, satisfying meal on our first night. We found Ramen Casolans Restaurant on Google with a great 4.7 rating, so we decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did!

There were 11 of us, and the staff handled our group with amazing service and care. The owner himself came out to greet us, served us personally, and even took the time to chat with us throughout the evening. It felt so warm and welcoming—like visiting a friend’s home.

As for the food—wow! The Chinese-style ramen was served piping hot and was full of authentic flavor, just like the ones we’ve had back in China. The dumplings were juicy and tasty, and the fried chicken thighs were super crispy and absolutely delicious. Every dish was spot-on!

Its a small bar, very understated. I came here looking for artisanal ramen, because thats not so easy to come by, I tried the ramen soup with egg and lamb. I fell in love with how flavourful the dish was, (the lamb in particular), and the noodles are spectacular, theres nothing like handmade noodles! The food is made with care and attention and it shows. The cook is the only person working there as far as I know and hes very nice with his customers and the attention was very good.
