Ethical Cuisine, Romanian at Its Best!
If you’re looking to try something new beyond the typical Spanish or Italian restaurants, this Romanian restaurant is a must-visit. It offers a taste of pure, authentic cuisine from Eastern Europe that’s both exciting and comforting.
As a Ukrainian, I can confidently say the food here reminds me of home. The staff are incredibly polite and welcoming. One of them recommended dishes to us and explained their significance, showcasing a real passion for food and hospitality.
The first soup I tried reminded me of something we have in western Ukraine, and it was excellent. It offers an interesting “new take” on chicken soup for anyone unfamiliar with the region’s cuisine. The second soup (with beef) was decent, but I recommend asking for smetana (sour cream) to enhance it.
The estofado de pollo con polenta exceeded my expectations. I’ve tried mamaliga before, and it wasn’t a favorite, but this dish completely changed my opinion. It was the best mamaliga I’ve ever had—super tasty, served with smetana, and perfectly spiced. The chicken was tender and flavorful, making it a standout dish.
The bread served with the dishes is traditional Romanian bread, which has a unique flavor that’s different from other types of bread you’ll find here.
At the end of the meal, we were offered traditional Romanian cherry liquor to try. Naturally, I compared it to the Ukrainian version, and I can say it’s just as good!
The dessert was the highlight of the evening—papanasi. If you love pastries, you absolutely have to try this traditional Romanian dessert. It was beyond my expectations and the perfect way to end the meal.
The decor is authentic, and you can tell the owner truly loves the place and cares about the details. I especially loved the wooden tables and chairs outside, which added a cozy, traditional charm to the experience.
The prices are reasonable, especially considering the unique cuisine and the excellent location. This place is absolutely worth your money.

Read moreFantastic food and service! This is my second time at this restaurant both times trying new dishes-and it’s always been a great experience. 🤩
Their staff is very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. 🤗
The food is delicious with huge portions and authentic - even the bread they serve come from Romania which are delicious alone.🤤
The chicken soup was just great for a cold night- one portion was good as a starter for two people. And oh, the aubergine paste with their bread, we had to order another portion to take home because it was just too good! I definitely recommend dishes in these photos as well as the Dracula dish and Papanasi (not in the photos)
They offered a shot of sour cherry liqueur to end the meal which was just perfect! 👌
I just love this place and will definitely be...
Read moreAfter spending several months in Transylvania and the Balkans in general, we got to know the local cuisine quite well. That's why we wanted to move to these areas with pleasure, even while in Barcelona. We chose these restaurants based on their rating and type of cuisine. Unfortunately, only one of the dishes served to us was really tasty and comparable to dishes served in almost every Balkan restaurant. The soup and appetizer we received were very average, not to say bad. Very far from the local flavors we know. Other elements without problems, friendly and fast service. But one dish out of 4 is not enough to give this place a...
