We really enjoyed our most of our food and the beverages here. We had the salmon bagel and pastrami bagel, which were very tasty.
The toasts ordered on the side were odd though. The tomato toast was a slice of toast with half of pearl tomato on the side for nearly €3, and I had to cut the tomato myself
My husband ordered the butter and jam toast, which was also a fail. Butter and jam are served on the side, and the butter was straight from the fridge and the toast wasn’t warm, so already the butter just shredded the bread.
I actually would come back here, but definitely skip the toasts.
Edit: It seems I confused Spanish and Catalan style tomato bread. I was expecting Spanish, but the Catalan counterpart is just tomato rubbed on bread. I still don’t think it’s good value for having to do it yourself, especially when it’s...
Read moreWe’re staying in Barcelona for a month, in an Airbnb in the same building as SEC Brunch. Just wow! I would say head here when the novelty of tapas, frittata, meatballs, croquetas and paella wears off… but you should skip the middle bit and just go there right now. We shared a plate of their delicious nachos (with avocado and mango and chilli… and just incredible). We also had a couple of coffees and a homebaked cooked. Service was great, staff all friendly, Cristina, Samuel, Pablo. Superb menu with Salmon eggs benny amongst other things. Very popular with the folks from the Hotel Intercontinental across the road too. Definitely going to return befoe we leave - obviosuly the clue is in the name, but we wish they were open for dinner. Nice surroundings, a candle on the table - could...
Read moreA really delicious brunch spot! A super cute little place, in an older building and there’s stairs to go down inside so it’s not wheelchair friendly, but you can still outside. I brought my baby in a stroller which I carried down the stairs, but we decided to sit outside anyway. It’s a bit dark inside. The two outside tables are very near to the street, so it’s not an ideal outdoor dining experience but not bad either. I had a really delicious eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and my son had an açai smoothie cup with some fruit. Both were really delicious! I’d come back just for the eggs Benedict. The staff were also very friendly and helpful as well, especially with accommodating the little kids and the stroller....
