Sports Bar — Restaurant in Barcelona

Avoid this place at all costs — total scam, zero respect for customers. I walked in, ordered a few beers, and asked what the waiter recommended to eat. He suggested pizza. Simple enough.

While I was still looking at the menu, the waiter came back — rude and pushy — trying to pressure me into ordering some so-called “special pizza.” Naturally, I asked why it wasn’t on the menu, and he replied: “It’s special, that’s why — I promise you’ll like it.” That promise was a complete lie.

The pizza came out cold. Yes, cold. And they dare to call themselves an Italian restaurant?

But the worst part? That “special” pizza — the one they pressured me into ordering — turned out to cost almost three times more than the others on the menu. No warning, no transparency. Just a cheap, dirty trick to rip people off.

And it didn’t end there. Since I couldn’t even finish the pizza (because it was stone cold), I asked for a container to take it home. They gave me a ridiculously tiny box. When I politely asked for a bigger one, the waiter got aggressive, practically pulling me from the table and saying: “Yeah, that fits — let me show you.”

The result? My pizza ended up smashed like trash inside that box. Like you can see in the photo.

Totally disrespectful, both to the customer and to the food.

This place is a joke. Horrible service, dishonest pricing, cold food, and no manners.

Don’t waste your time. Don’t waste your money. They’ll treat you like garbage and laugh...

Good pizza but stay AWAY. “A waiter presenting himself “English” Italian trying to steal your money by charging extra everything other than pizza. I can really afford everything I want however I will pay only with my will not be because of other people trying to reach my pocket. People, watch your pocket and stay away from this place. Ethically speaking Stealing is stealing. Period. Charging more than menu price is stealing. We had only one bottle of water it was charged 2. After asking it was corrected. I mentioned the wine price as tapped my card, he charged and ignored my comment on wrong price and went away. I did double check the wine price with menu it was wrong price as I correctly mentioned to the this face waiter. but arrogant guy didn’t even bother. I am used to pay WAY MORE for a bottle of wine and this place was very cheap for me however, no one has right to reach my pocket of try to...

An Unexpected Delight During the Olympics

My wife and I were in Barcelona during the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and were looking for a spot to catch the games. We decided on what we thought would be a typical "sports bar," but The Sports Bar turned out to be a delightful surprise. Not only did we find a welcoming atmosphere to watch the events, but we also discovered some wonderful Italian food!

The pizza and pasta were outstanding, with the Zito Alla Genovese being a standout dish that we kept coming back for. The service was exceptionally friendly, some of the best we experienced in Barcelona. If you get the chance, try to be served by “Mimmo,” a term of endearment in Southern Italy meaning "little boy." Mimmo made us feel like we were dining in his own family kitchen, with warmth and genuine hospitality.
