We were drawn into this restaurant by one of the staff outside and expected to enjoy a nice meal. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very unpleasant experience.
We placed our order with a server named Pooja (not sure if that's her real name). From the beginning, she seemed dismissive and uninterested in helping us. When we asked about the water, we wanted to know if it came in a large bottle so we could order two if necessary. She didn’t give us a clear answer, and it felt like she couldn’t be bothered.
We also asked about menu details, but she ignored our questions and just took the order as she pleased.
At this point, we thought maybe it was just a misunderstanding or a bad day.
However, after about a minute, we wanted to change the order. We looked for Pooja but she was nowhere to be found. Then another staff member (short, dark-skinned woman) came and we told her about the change, and she accepted it.
A few minutes later, Pooja brought out the original dish we had wanted to cancel. We explained that we had changed the order with the other server. Then both Pooja and the second woman came to our table, talking loudly in Spanish.
Pooja then started yelling, insisting we had to take what we originally ordered just because we ordered it from her first. We told her we had tried to find her, and eventually had to ask someone who looked like a manager to call her, but she never came. B (the second woman) came instead and confirmed the change.
Still, Pooja refused to listen and raised her voice, saying we had to eat what she brought. Her attitude was extremely aggressive and disrespectful — as if she were forcing food on us.
At that point, we gave in and said we'd just eat what was served — but demanded an apology.
She said "sorry," but her face said otherwise. She only apologized after we asked multiple times, and even then, she was far from polite.
The worst part? B walked past our table and cursed at us under her breath.
This was by far one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful restaurant experiences we’ve ever...
Read moreThe worst restaurant I’ve ever visited in my life from visiting over 10+ countries all over the world.
This is my first review below 3 stars from over 70+ reviews. This restaurant started badly, waiter slamming beer on the table including a juice.
Barcelona is always a great city with amazing views and food. Except Villa Caprice, waiter started with a good mood, but getting confused on why we wanted no meat on our Bolognese Pasta.
The tomato with bread was way too saggy, half of it is tomato sauce. You feel like you’re eating water with bread. With the amount of tomato sauce added, you taste it as water.
The only thing that is good about this place is the view of the Basilica. The ceaser salad seemed like it was frozen, heated and served, rotten chicken, absolutely horrible.
Then, came our pasta, WITH MEAT, after we specifically ordered NO MEAT. The waiter refused to bring it back, kept telling us it’s “Halal” because we were speaking Arabic. WE ARE CHRISTIANS, not because we are from Palestine meaning we are Muslims and we only eat halal. Zero respect. Racism, not acceptable, an other review stated racism by skin colour. Now they are being disrespectful by every way possible.
The only thing that came from THEM not companies such as Heineken and Nestea was the pizza, a margarita pizza.
The wait time is over 30 minutes, with a bit of customers left, I’m surprised people left positive reviews of this area. Absolutely horrible.
At the end, when we ordered our bill, we were really tempted to leave without paying because they took too much time. The bill was €59,99 for a beer, 2 orange juices, 1 pasta and a...
Read moreIf you are a tourist, do NOT go to this restaurant to eat. I REPEAT, DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT. I was on a tour and we stopped here for have lunch as I believe the tour has some kind of arrangement with the restaurant to bring the tour members there for the lunch stop. I had a backpack with me on the tour which I placed at the back of my chair with both handles on the seat while I ate. When I turned around to get my back to pay - my bag was gone! We alerted the restaurant staff who did. NOTHING to help and honestly didn't even flinch. They offered no apologies no help no remorse no shock nothing. The restaurant has a camera and when we asked to see it, they claimed "only the manager can access the camera". I've read several other reviews on here which claim the exact same thing. I do believe the restaurant staff alert these thieves when tourists have arrived so that they know when to come. My table had 8 people and no one saw and heard anything. I believe the thief was dressed as a restaurant staff member as I did recall seeing a black male rushing out in a restaurant uniform but thought nothing of it at the time. And then thinking back to it the only people who I saw or felt come close to me were the waitresses who weirdly looked disassociated and nervous. Of course I didn't notice at the time but when I thought back I did remember that. My entire bag with my $1000 dollar camera, my wallet with credit cards, my passport and all my ID's were gone...
