what a disappointment! Could be a bad day of them but it was the only dinner for us! (mejillones) mussels in vapour was tasty but at least one third of them was totally closed which is dangerous/died before cooked! Noone interested in what i did on the table when i collected the death ones separated! The waiters are walking around even running but non of then collected the dished from table until we asked for! The funny thing, they get the dishes from table what we point out! First, plates with full mussels shells; after we had to ask again for empty casserole, and finally i have asked to chief waiter the 3 deep souses, what them for? He said for mussels and he disappeared! Where is the mussels? Already finished and finally removed from table… he just replied but not collected the souses from table. very funny but also tired start! Pan con tomato is great! But the cod fritters are not fit with my estimation. It should be better. Burger is fine. Steak tartar is moderate! It is hot but it is like tartar mixed with ordinary barbecue sos. Hope we will visit one more time and everything...
Read moreThe food was very nice although the bread was hard as rock which looked like re-heated bread….sadly the service was a complete let down. They were in a rush to get us out as quick as possible. We hadn’t even finished our last mouth full of our starter that the plates were removed… We had two courses in 30mns….crazy!!! We still had our apéritives to finish… We had to tell them to slow down which the waiter didn’t like.. We were never asked if we’d like another drink or not..They had no knowledge of what cheese they were serving. It took a good 5mns for them to enquire and return to let us know.. We weren’t even asked if everything was ok,they were not interested! We shall not return! They are more amazing restaurants in Sarria with much better...
Read moreWe went to Vivanda last week with high expectations, mostly because of the Michelin sign posted by the door. The garden seating area is lovely, but unfortunately that was the highlight. The staff was unfriendly: not actively rude, but unsmiling and not speaking (and we spoke Spanish to them) except when absolutely necessary. And the food was very disappointing. Fried squid was soggy and limp. The patatas bravas came swimming in a bowl full of mayonaise, with more mayo than patata. The merluza and the other main dishes were fine but not special and not worth the premium prices. We would not go back; there are many other restaurants with better Spanish food, friendlier service and significantly...
