Worst food I had through my 4 weeks of vacation in Spain. The value for money is horrible and their food is average. We ordered the fish of the day which was listed as one of their mains (not starters). I was told that those are bigger portions. I was debating between getting the fish of the day or the beef but was convinced by their staff to try their palamos prawns which was one of their options for fish of the day. Oh boy, do I regret that ever. Initially I was told it comes with a side of potatoes and other things but all I got was 5 pieces of prawns for 35 euros. Now I do understand that palamos prawns are very expensive but why would you serve a meal as a main with just 5 tiny prawns, no sides or anything. All their other food options were quite average. I’m surprised they have a 4.6 star rating at the time of this review. I booked the reservation thinking that it has good reviews and was very disappointed. Ended up spending 80 euros and left hungry. Did go down the street to grab some delicious gelato,...
Read moreMy family and I had dinner here and we were looking forward to great food after reading the reviews online.
The serice was great and fast but our main dishes were really disappointing :( . The starters which were the mix of croquettes, chicken wings and the anchovies, were finger-licking good!! However, my husband's order of Bacalao and my order of the Iberian wild boar weren't so nice. I had indicated I wanted very well done and the first time my meat was brought, it was bloody. When I asked for it to be well done, they seemed to use a blowtorch on it as it was well done only on the outside with some charred parts and the inside was still bloody.
The restaurant has a really beautiful ambience though and is instragramworthy especially during dinner (for those who love the aesthetics ;)). Overall, I cannot say we did not have a nice time, just that those two meals put us off and the service persons took the...
Read moreOur dinner experience was overall good. The service was really helpful and great. The overall atmosphere is really nice (book a table for outside in advance). But we were not convinced with the food.
This restaurant has a high price tag (compared to others in this area) and it offers a la carte choices as well as a chef’s tasting menu. We ordered a la carte, however, we got many items that were on the original tasting menu.
The wine recommendation we got was excellent and really worked with our dishes.
All the dishes felt a little like a hybrid of Spanish, Mexican, Japanese, and modern cuisine. We missed the clear local touch. It was a little like overcomplicating simple dishes and adding various and too many layers of flavors to each of these dishes.
Our experience might be unique and it was overall a great evening. But our food expectations were a little different from what we...
