This was probably our 5th visit overall to Bacchus, this time it was me and my wife. I've been on my own, my wife has been with my daughter before etc.
This is a stunning restaurant, a hidden gem that is set slightly back from the sea front. You can access the restaurant up a small flight of stone stairs on the left of the 'Palm 5' bar.
Beautiful views of the sea greet you when you arrive. Booking is simple as they are on WhatsApp! The owner is quick to respond.
The owner is front of house and always offers a greeting with a smile and kind words. His wife works the kitchen. They have a super friendly, super efficient waiter who's English is impeccable (bearing in mind he couldn't speak any English until recently).
The food is amazing. We have never been even slightly disappointed, it's always been perfect. Last night we had bruschetta to share as a starter, you almost needed step ladders as it was piled so high with the topping! Super tasty. I had the steak board (a must I have to say), it's around 12 pieces of succulent steak with a tasty dip (only 18 Euros!!). I had chips with it, proper chips. My wife had the smoked salmon ravioli (a speciality of the restaurant; various fillings to be had). Fantastic as usual.
I had a red wine (well a couple to be honest 😀), excellent quality. My wife had white wine, likewise for this also 😋.
Overall we had a wonderful experience, superb food and drink with top notch friendly and efficient service. The price won't put a hole in your pocket either.

Read moreBacchus Terrace is a hidden gem in Benalmadena, Spain, owned by the lovely husband-and-wife team, Santiago and Simona. I dined at Bacchus Terrace last night, and it was truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The food is prepared with love, and you can taste it in every bite. I had a Chicken Milanese and a delightful unique salad. I wish I could have ordered their Raviolis and steak board, there was so much to choose from but only one evening and one me! There are amazing views on their Roof Sun Terrace, where I enjoyed an excellent glass of wine. The location might be a bit tricky to find, but it’s well worth the effort. Just look out for signs for The Dizzy Donkey on the seafront, right beside the hotel Vincci Alecya, and Bacchus Terrace is hidden behind it. There are stairs that go up to the restaurant from the boardwalk. In my opinion, Bacchus Terrace should have a Michelin Star. It’s that good! Date of visit: June 2024 If you’re ever in Benalmadena, make sure to seek out this...
Read moreAbsolute hidden gem this place! Located above Palm 5 beach bar, it did take a little bit of searching before finding it but boy was it worth it. Super friendly staff who were happy to help in any way they could, even comping a bottle of wine when the waiter brought out two glasses by mistake. Atmosphere is lovely as well, being just above the promenade we were out of the way just enough that it wasnt too loud but also felt like we were close enough to still soak in the beach environment
Only drawback was the lack of information on the menu. One of the people in the group is vegan and there was no information on the menu itself. Again, the waiter was more than happy to help but he seemed a little bit unsure of his answers. Perhaps think twice about going here if you have specific dietary requirements, such as allergies as they may not be...
