Bar restaurante Las Redes — Restaurant in Benidorm

I had lunch in this restaurant last week. We opted for the "menu of the day". Our mistake (not the restaurant's) was that we arrived too early, at 1.00 pm, and the "Paella" option on the menu of the day was not yet ready (in Spain lunch is around 2.00 pm and many restaurants even open at 1.30 pm ). However, we ordered the menu of the day with a different dish (the cod). The portions were not large but the quality was excellent, it is clear that the various recipes are homemade with fresh ingredients. The apple pie at the end was to die for, it was like eating an apple strudel. I love apple pie and this is the best I've ever eaten. Han cambiado se gerencia porque no son los mismos deal año pasado. Ahora hay 2 señoras fuera, y en cocina veo un cocinero y otra señora. Llegamos y hay 2 mesas libres. Le digo que somos 4 y me dice q hay una mesa con 2 sillas y otra con una silla... y se va. Viene la otra camarera y me dice lo mismo .. y le digo que me imagino q podrá sacarme sillas del local de dentro q es bastante grande y estaba vacío. Al final me las sacan. Me tardan como 15 minutos en tomarme las bebidas y le digo q nos traiga carta. Pedimos una fritura y me dice que no le queda, ni eso ni calamares, ni chopitos... Pedimos sepia, boquerones y mejillones. Después de servir a mesas q habían llegado más tarde y después de 40 minutos nos traen todo junto. A una mesa pequeña q teníamos y ni cabían las raciones. .. nos repartimos las raciones como podemos para hacer espacio... y lo peor llega cuando a mitad de la cena se libran varias mesas y viene más gente a cenar... y para ellos si había fritura!! No tenían reserva por si alguien piensa q tenían reservado porque veo que les preguntan si pueden cenar.. Por arte de magia de repente sacan frituras para varias mesas. Alucinada!! Otra cosa pésima es que teniendo todo el comedor de dentro vacío, llegaba gente para cenar y les decían que estában completos.. pues un favor q le hacían a los de enfrente... Q se iban a la otra freiduria.. menudo lujo decir que no tienen mesas, desde luego gente que no volverá.. Desde luego no pienso volver. Han sido lentas, poco detallistas porque íbamos con 2 niños pequeños y nos tardaron más de 1 hora en servir.. y sobre todo... decir que no había fritura y x arte de magia luego había... nose......

Hands down best place in Benidorm. Before coming here I was super nervous about the quality of food - I've heard it was filled with British style pubs which was not what I was looking for.
