The Mad Monk serves up a brilliant Full English breakfast with tea or coffee for €4 or you can opt for the larger one at €5. Amstel beer prices are cheap too at €1 for a small beer. A mug of coffee was €1.50 Rump steak, with chips, peas, mushrooms, onion & tomato was just €8.50 Sirloin steak with chips,peas, onion & tomato was just €12.95 Lasagne with chips & salad was €7 The €7.50 homemade chilli con carne looks lovely and it comes with rice or chips or 1/2 & 1/2. Toffee cheesecake or hot apple pie was €2.50 and there both delicious. I found the British ex-patriot owners to be really nice, polite & very friendly. They even offered to store my luggage in their cellar on my departure day, which I thought was a very nice offer.

Was there this afternoon, it’s a hovel, didn’t smell nice and I should have left. I decided to stayed as they had just moved to their new premises. I had the roast beef dinner which was disgusting 🤮 it all looked like it was cooked several days ago & reheated, I left most of it & still feel sick. Would not recommend...
