Dilligaf Bar — Restaurant in Benidorm

Booked for Christmas day dinner, I appreciate Christmas is busy I will state this before I continue. Table was booked for 4 o'clock. We arrived 10 minutes early and waited in the qué at the bar to be seated. Whilst waiting noticed a very strong smell of urine from the toilets, this is also where the food was placed (buffet style) by the toilets. With nothing else booked we continued to wait and look past this. When it was finally our turn at the bar we advised we had a table booked, the lady found our booking and asked if we had found a table? My reply was no we have a table booked for 4 o'clock. She asked us to find a table. We were expected to find our own table, there was none empty. We were left with having to find an alternative venue for dinner. If I wanted a walk in place that's what I would have opted for. Not fair to take bookings then expect customers to find there own table! Or if this is the case then state at...

In November 2023 we saw the Diligaf Bar advertising their Sunday carvery dinner (beef, pork and chicken) on Facebook. This was our first visit and on arrival we received a warm welcome from the owner Deb. Outside there was a board displaying the drinks offers.

There was plenty of seating and we sat outside. A waitress brought a plate with our beef, a roast potato and a yorkshire pudding. The waitress explained that we could help ourselves to vegetables, gravy and condiments.

There was a nice selection of vegetables including cabbage, carrots, cauliflower cheese and broccoli. The dinner tasted nice and the beef was tender. It would have been nice, to have had the option of extra roast potatoes. We would recommend the Diligaf if you are looking for a no frills, down to earth bar with a friendly atmosphere. We pre booked our family in October to secure Christmas dinner at diligaf, our booking was taken without a deposit, they confirmed our booking in December to check we were still coming.we turned up on Christmas Day to find our table all set up,and high chair for our baby.it very quickly became apparent that the staff were extremely busy and short on numbers,however,they kept the food and drinks coming and I have to say,it was amazing! Value for money absolutely, words cannot describe the service we got, and to see staff with tears in their eyes because they were under so much pressure,yet holding it all together tells you a story!
