My wife and I and nine other people went to the AIRE show the other night. We had been to the FIRE and AQUA shows in previous years and loved them. This time was a disappointment. The positives: great venue, better than average food, (the vegetarians didn't like theirs), excellent service, and good value all round!
We really appreciated all the hard work that the performers put into the show, however whoever directed or was the choreographer has a lot to answer for. In essence it was a costume PAGEANT with no emotional depth, passion, sexuality, or proper pacing. By the time it ended we were both left feeling empty and happy to go home.
Both singers had amazing voices, with the female singer I was unable to make out a single word clearly, was this the sound engineering? The male singer also had a beautiful voice but there was no connection between them.
The dancing was frantic, felt poorly choreographed and overly intense. For AIR where was swan lake? Most of our group questioned how the sets represented the element of air. There was no darkness or counterpoint to the smiling, intense and forced happiness of all the sets.
We weren't sure where the ´magician´ fitted into the show but at least he had some umph compared to the rest of the male dancers. We missed the comedian from last year who only appeared for the Don Quixote set. The in-show advertising was in poor taste, the fact that you had to tell everybody who the magician was and how famous he is.
The visuals were nice, but nothing compared to the FIRE show visuals. Our least favourite set was the Barbie and Ken, and our favourite was the year of the dragon acrobat golden couple. The other nine people loved the part in the middle of the show where they could dance a bit themselves. Hope that next year it will be “ETHER”, the fifth element and some lessons...
Read moreI recently attended a Christmas Day event that included dinner and a show. While the evening had its enjoyable moments, several aspects fell short of expectations, especially considering the ticket price.
Dining Experience: The meal was served hot and presented well, but the quality was lacking. The main course featured rare beef accompanied by a minimal red wine jus, a tiny potato, and a single asparagus spear—portions that felt inadequate for a festive occasion. Dessert, presumably a lemon posset, was underwhelming and didn’t align with the “chef’s dessert” advertised, leaving much to be desired for a Christmas meal.
Entertainment: The stage, effects, costumes, sound were great. However, the show was inconsistent. Some performances, particularly the duos involving magic, acrobatics, and gymnastics, were impressive. However, group dances, such as the segment where performers dressed as Japanese characters, seemed like filler with minimal effort, detracting from the overall experience. The 30-minute orchestra segment was enjoyable and stood out as a highlight.
Service and Ambience: The venue was nicely decorated for Christmas, and the tables were well set. However, service issues impacted the experience. Staff collected tablecloths immediately after the meal, causing discomfort and distraction during the ongoing show. Additionally, ordering extra drinks was challenging due to long wait times and being passed between staff members.
In summary, while the event had its enjoyable moments, it didn’t fully meet expectations for a special Christmas occasion, especially considering the cost. Improvements in food quality, performance consistency, and service efficiency could enhance...
Read moreLoved every moment September 2023 Me and my dad booked to come to benidorm palace to watch the fire show on Saturday 9th September the ticket was 65 euros for the vip but next year when we come were going to pay 85 euros for the platinum service it was well worth the money and were definitely coming back and I would recommend benidorm palace to anyone. The service from the waiter was amazing they went above and beyond and we had are photo took before we went in the staff diverted me and my disabled dad to the lift instead of going down the steps. The view of the stage was amazing we was sat at the front next to the stage ,food was OK but my dad didn't like the salad and the soup but the rest of the meal was OK. Drinks are reasonable priced we got 2 budwiser,2 Guinness ,alcohol pina calda and a tea for 26 euros which is a bargain. The band could have song more upbeat songs and more 2023 songs in stead of sad song ,the magician was mind blowing ,the acrobat and stunts was amazing and also the dances was fab they were all on time and there all amazing dancers and the female singer had a great voice but was keen on the male sing but he was fine. The facility was clean and tidy and there was a member of staff to get people in there taxis to there hotel which was great. All together dancer ,singer ,waiter and over staff didn't an amazing job and can't wait to see a new show next year. I would definitely keep all the dancer ,acrobat ,magician and the female singer because there amazing at there job and you can tell they've put there time and effort into there job.
Well done well worth the money and I will be recommending the venue and we...
