El Tilo de Mami Lou — Restaurant in Bilbao

This used to be one of my favorite spots when I was living in Bilbao. Here you can get unique drinks and food that are hard to find in the city as there is no much tradition for cupcakes or cakes American-style at all. The cupcakes sweet meringue is mixed with fruits and other flavors that balance the low-sugar cupcake, that can be paired with either one of their hot drinks or a Chocolate beer. If you are looking for a place with "girly" beers: chocolate, Rose, Vanilla, Berry, etc. to share with the girls....well, this is the place. But not only the food and drinks are great, the place has "modern-victorian" vibe, beautiful cups, plates and decoration in general, with a fresh and romantic style make this place the "special place" of everyone,...

After three days in Bilbao trying all different places to eat my entire group is now abandoning our intentions to go somewhere new every meal and start coming here every morning. While the coffee, fresh juice, food, and sweet treats are as good or better than anywhere we've been so far, it is the service and ambiance that sealed the deal. They have been incredibly friendly and helpful to us as tourists and the shop is beautiful. I think I'm going to miss it...

Probably the best coffee and cheesecake I've had in my life. Aside from the stunning appearance, both tasted absolutely fantastic, and you could tell they were made with love and great ingredients. The atmosphere was just beautiful, cozy and nostalgic and the staff were very kind and helpful. Also, the prices were super budget-friendly! Overall, I think this is an amazing hangout spot, either for breakfast or a nice afternoon wind-down. 10/10 totally would go...
