I loved this place: a relaxing oase in the midst of a very touristy side of Cordoba, just a few meters from the Mezquita. I had both breakfast and lunch - had to come back because it seemed just the right place to recharge after the bust of the city.
A lot of people skip on this place because there’s a very short corridor to the main dining room, which is not directly visible from the outside. Also, there aren’t too many seats - which makes this for a private ambiance and moderate noise levels.
My breakfast was phenomenal. My pan con tomate didn’t need any salt nor pepper adjustments, and the avocado was on point. I could also chose the type of bread, and had a real espresso (which in traditional bars is harder to find if a good quality). When coming back for lunch, I had a salad and the citrus vinaigrette was so good . It was barely visible, but made the salad so elevated - the portion was also the tight amount, and I got artisanal bread.
So, if you want to have Spanish classic (including cordovan couisine) with a sophisticated touch and a relaxed and fancy vibe… this is the place!
Only spot to improve: I ordered a desert and I am allergic to raspberry. This was not included in the menu, but I got a raspberry sauce and had to send back the plate. It’s important that every ingredient gets listed in the menu when it comes to food intolerances or allergies. Other than that, I can...
Read moreThis place feels like it has no disadvantages. We've arrived at about 12:10 pm. There is a beautiful hidden court, with impressive statues and decorations, with ceileing fans that surprisngly cool the place. The place really has vibes of quality. Juan gave us impeccable service answering all of our questions and was professional with a smile. We ordered 2 coffees, 2 juice smoked goat cheese salad and 2 toasts, one with eggs & bacon, the other with avocado. The salad was... wow. I love goat cheese, and this was the best version of it I ever tried. Awesome salad. The toasts were surprisngly big and not too crunchy, both very good. The mixed fruits juice was also refreshing and delicious, although could have been colder. The prices are not too expensive for how the place looks like and for the how the food looks and tastes like. Big...
Read moreThis lovely restaurant is an oasis of tranquility in the center of the tourist area. Our group of four enjoyed the mazamorra, the berejena (fried eggplant), ensalada de burrata, and the Corvina. Although the majority of our group was skeptical of the eggplant, it was the consensus winner. The mazamorra was also splendid and distinctive. The fish was beautifully prepared but the least distinctive in flavor. Our servers were attentive and helpful, including recommending that we order one dish fewer than we planned, which...
