La Pausa — Restaurant in Córdoba

Beware of thieves amongst La Pausa staff! We had breakfast at La Pausa while waiting for our train on April 16, 2024 around 8 a.m. We always choose tables in the corners of restaurants to maximize security of our belongings. This morning we put our luggage in a corner where the only people who could come near it were the staff moving from behind the counter to the customer area to clean tables, etc. We thought this was a safe place but we were wrong. My wife briefly put her purse on top of the luggage in the corner to make room for the breakfast on the table but some moments later we found her purse was gone. No one aside from staff could have taken it as no one else came near. Inside were our passports, cash, credit cards and iPhone. Later, the thief was kind enough to leave our passports on the street where they were turned in to the police but the rest is gone permanently. We filed a police report and they have started an investigation. If you patronize this restaurant be careful with your belongings and especially do not let your guard down...

Terrible! I ordered a special they have advertised on the counter plus other items. I pay and on the receipt I notice I was charged the regular price. I ask why and she said I didn't tell her about the special. IT IS ADVERTISED RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. She angrily threw a few coins at me. Less than what the actual difference! I sit down, set up my laptop to get some work done. The advertised free wifi does not work! I ask another employee, she shrugs her shoulders and says it's out of her control....

Their Americano is good , their cappuccino is tastes good with a lots of foam Tho im not a cappuccino fan. And if you wanted a good beer then try the Greek Alhambra works good 😊 Their prices a bit high according outside places , but normal for its location inside the station . The 2 ladies working there are very nice and helpful ,tho they don’t speak English but we tried to understand...
