I ate here with my husband. We ordered the menu of the day as it seemed good value. We both ordered different dishes so we could taste each others food and get to try more local dishes in one go. The food was simple, non fussy, but tasted good. The fried aubergine in honey was my favourite of the 1st course, the cold almond cream was nice with garlic flavours but felt more like a dip than a dish to eat alone so I ate it with the bread. Both the fish dishes were good, we ordered one tuna and one fried white fish. Our dessert was egg custard and the flan , which seemed more like a panna cotta. There was a bottle of house white included if 2 of you ordered the menu, as you could expect from the price it was nothing special. I've given it a 3 star rating overall because even though they appeared to be just starting for the evening the atmosphere wasn't very welcoming after we were seated. The male waiter couldn't have been less interested in us as customers and wasn't...
Read moreWe had an incredible dining experience at La Manuela during our recent visit to Córdoba. This charming restaurant delivered both warmth and flavor in abundance.
We tried the ox tail (rabo de toro), the paella, the pizza, the burger and the pork cheeks (carrilladas de cerdo) both traditional Andalusian dishes, and both absolutely exceptional. The ox tail was rich, tender, and full of deep, savory flavor, falling off the bone with ease. The pork cheeks were equally impressive—melt-in-your-mouth tender with a beautifully balanced sauce that made every bite unforgettable.
The service Mohamed provided was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance struck the perfect balance between relaxed and refined. It’s clear the team takes pride in their food and hospitality.
If you’re looking for authentic local cuisine prepared with care and served in a welcoming atmosphere, La Manuela is not to be missed. We’ll definitely return on our next...
Read moreThe Carrillada was the best dish I have had in my entire life! And I am more than 60 years old! In my life I have had the good fortune of living and working in some of the top culinary centers of the world including 8 years in Paris France, and several years each in Italy, Japan and China, where I have had the pleasure of dining in many Michelin restaurants over the years. I have never asked to meet a chef, but did ask the wait staff here who were very friendly and professional to pass on my compliments to the Chef. Well while I was retrieving my coat, they brought out their young Chef who could not have been much more than twenty years old. I can only assume that she loves what she does because she is so good at it, and all I could think about was the extraordinary career she has before her if she continues in this profession. I wish her well and hope I will have the pleasure of dining...
