My friend and I went for lunch and ordered the mushrooms (setas), spinach with garbanzos, and the pisto with fried egg. The mushrooms came with a nice parsley/garlic oil on top, which was excellent. All dishes were quite good, definitely not too salty, like in some places. The staff were very friendly and food came out very quickly. Only improvement would have been more bread after we finished ours. I did ask and the server said yes, but it never came. I appreciated the guy standing by the door who remembered my name as we were leaving and asked me how everything was. Very sincere and a nice touch for overall experience. One thing that made no sense was the Central European classical music playing—they should have Spanish guitar or something more fitting for a such a beautifully Cordobés interior.

Nice, cozy historical atmosphere with polite staff. I recommend to try "rabo de toro" (bull tail stew), which was delicious, a bit too fatty, but with great flavour. I would like to have more potatoes on the plate, but at least you get a bread which can be used to wipe the sauce with. I also had fried breaded aubergine with sugar cane syrup - it was good, but not satisfying as a single meal, it was a bit too oily for me and I assumed the slices would be thicker... But maybe I just didn't pick the best combination, a fresh fish might be a better match to try. The meals are not overpriced and there is plenty of tradicional ones to choose from. I would recommend to go there as this place is calm and quiet.

We tried coming here the first day we arrived but it was fully booked with people even queuing out the door! We then left it for the remainder of our trip. On our last night, we tried our luck again and by chance, we were able to get a table. It was a the perfect end to our trip! The service and food was great and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. You really feel like a local here and the staff are very friendly. The food was good and price vs value is excellent! Highly recommend coming to this place if you are in the area and perhaps book in advance if you can.

Incredible. One of the best meals I have had in Spain. I have lived in Madrid for several years and have travelled a lot in Andalucía and this is Spanish food at its absolute best. We ordered several dishes, a typical stew from Cordoba, a spinach dish, an asparagus dish and several others and all were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and the value was incredible, we had 6 dishes, 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers for €53. I really cannot fault this place. I have heard there can be quite long queues but if your prepared to wait it is 100% worth it.

Great tasting experience of the intriguing specialities of Córdoba. The breaded eggplant isn't really something I would want to order again, although the taste sure was interesting! I loved the oxtail stew the locals call "Rabo de toro" with its intense flavor and thickness. It's definitely a more fatty cut of meat and the portion could use a bit more potato fries for perfect balance, but overall it was immensely satisfying. The staff was professional and nice, even accommodating our lack of proficiency in Spanish. Would recommend and return for some more!

We were walking by and we were recommended that restaurant as the best in town. As the restaurant was full we waited to be seated. The place is very cute and feel authentic, not overly touristic even if hey have menu in different languages. We had the spinach and pine nuts croquetas, the marinated fish and the Hamenquin, wine and water (they do propose you tap or bottle which is great!). Everything was good. The staff was very helpful, make us some suggestions and made sure everything was OK. Will definitely suggest to book in advance if in the city.
