Tana Criolla — Restaurant in Córdoba

We had very high expectations. The place is super cute and the service is wonderful. Ana was very friendly!

We ordered a large variety of empanadas: spinach, pollo clásico, caprese, batata. They have a promotion where you get 3 or 6 Empanadas and they include 1 or two drinks with each combo. They also have a good system for identifying which empanadas you receive in that they stamp a number on each empanada and the numbers corresponds to the different varieties available.

Unfortunately, each empanada was very tasteless and lacking flavor. I am from Colombia and also have several Argentinian friends and have had these many times. We were sadly disappointed and left many empanadas half eaten. The dough used for these empanadas is very thick so you’re eating mostly dough. We also ordered the Alfajores as dessert and again they were not good. There is way too much dough and the dulce de leche is not very good. It is way too...

Visiting Cordoba, there’s so many places to eat and some places I found could be a bit of a tourist trap. Tana Criolla is not one of them!

Great tasting and value empanadas. I make a point of eating empanadas whenever I get the chance and one I had here might be the best I’ve had. Absolutely delicious.

This bakery in Cordoba is a true gem! They offer a variety of empanadas, but the classic ones are the tastiest. Plus, when you buy 6 empanadas, you get a complimentary drink. The girl working there makes the most delicious pizzas. It's a must-visit for anyone in Cordoba craving...
