Visited here last night after some satisfying Italian food, I would give it a 3.5 stars if I could but I’m be honest here it really let me down.
Ordered - Vera Napoletana & carbonara expecting pretty high hopes but was pretty meh about it all.
Vera Napoletana - buffalo mozzarella was first let down of the dish tbh no flavour and also a small portion of it, the ragu the base flavour was tomato but lacked anything else throughout the dish, kinda give me tomato pure flavour but nothing else, no passta no depth no freshness. The basil oil was perfect combination tho really fresh and hit throughout the dish and probably my favourite thing about it. The mozzarella lacked any flavour cheap store bought vibe, and the pesto pearls were ok but did bring nothing to the dish at all.
Carbonara - again lack any real depth of flavours just had one solid tone throughout and it lack that yolk finish with that creamy yet silky butter taste, and no black pepper through it. It was ok but like both dishes you don’t feel like you wunna eat more after a few bites you feel like you’re done.
Somthing was a bit suspicious about both dishes, both came out steaming hot, too hot for pasta dishes, somthing potentially the sauces been microwaved and mixed into the pasta maybe? The carbonara pasta was cooked ok al dente with yellow finish, but the Vera Napoletana pasta was over done, sloppy and loose, Not great for this style of dish.
Overall the food was ok, wouldn’t rush back and certainly not thinking about it after.
Score for this visit is sadly a 6.5/10 The dishes on menu certainly could hit and be amazing but lacks all finesse and good cookery, for the money I would...

————— A terrible experience at this establishment.
This place is for those who don’t understand food and have never been to Italy.
We were served an enormous, “horse-sized” portion of risotto carbonara, along with a pepper mill covered in dust.
The bottle of wine we ordered was not presented before being opened: it was simply opened and placed on the edge of the table, without even offering a tasting (and they call themselves a restaurant!).
I HIGHLY recommend trying their “special recommendation” — the Tricolore Pizza. The photo below speaks for itself 😆😆
The prices are extremely inflated for a city like Calella. In reality, this is nothing more than a tourist trap — a money-making machine designed for unsuspecting visitors. Unfortunately, we ended up being among them 🤣 (we should have chosen the place more carefully).
The olives served at the beginning looked rather sad, though at first, they tasted fine. However, my appetite was completely ruined by their “presentation”: a large pile of the same olives was sitting next to the cashier, surrounded by fruit flies. After seeing that, I had no desire to eat them any further. This was anything but hygienic.
The service also deserves a mention: our dishes remained unfinished, yet the waiter never asked why. This once again underlines the conveyor-belt attitude of this “machine.” To be fair, I’ll make an allowance — the waiter was young and inexperienced, and he did try to be polite and accommodating. Still, proper training and basic standards of service should be present in any restaurant.
Finally, I want to emphasize: my intention is not to offend anyone personally, but simply to warn others against a disappointing experience and a...
Read moreThis is hands down the best pasta I have ever eaten! During the day you wouldn’t even notice that it is a restaurant, however, in the evening it comes alive serving authentic Italian food. We chose to sit inside due to the heat on this specific day and it was a very lovely atmosphere. The staff were very polite and helpful (speaking good English) and brought olives over to the table to start. We ordered a Jug of Sangria which was filled with fresh fruit and tasted very high quality. I then had a carbonara which was very flavoursome and had perfectly cooked lardons paired with a shaker full of Parmesan cheese. My partner had the Calzone which was cooked to perfection, filled with flavour and perfectly portioned. We then finished the evening with the molten chocolate cake (and vanilla biscotto ice cream) and the coffee, truffle and mini tiramisu desert. Both of which were rich and indulgently chocolaty. It was also very reasonable considering the quality of ingredients and service we received. Would...
