We asked for a table for 4 and the chap who served us seemed pretty grumpy and reluctant for us to be there, but we took the table anyway as we were starving. Bottom line the guy was just grumpy. The starters were huge but quite tasty, he then brought out the main courses while we were still eating our starters, the paella was burnt on the bottom which made the whole dish taste burnt. A family of 4 then came and sat on the table next to us, the waiter just ignored them so they eventually left. This has to be, by far, my favourite place in Calpe. Forts, I love my vermouth, and if a place has a large choice, well, I am in paradise. I discovered this place back in March 24 and immediately fell in love with the place. Returned early June and could not miss revisiting. Great choice of vermouth, at a decent price; tasteful tapas to accompany, a torrezno(pork crackling) to die for, among other dishes, but mostly the warm and friendly service by Ana and her daughter Raquel. The dishes that sealed the deal, why we will return to Calpe. The best seafood paella in Calpe. Extremely delicious, money well spent, the seafood were fresh and super tasty. Reminisce of the sea, home! New and wonderful flavours. The rabbit dish was divine, unique, well seasoned and it brought back childhood memories. Great host and very clean place.
