BLOODY MARY — Restaurant in Calvià

I loved Bloody Mary. The placement is great, sitting in the sun out front watching everyone go about their day in a busy corner in Santa Ponca. The food was good, it's not a restaurant, it's a cafe with a menu catering for the tourists, English breakfast, a selection of familiar main meals and snacks, pizza etc but everything was tasty and I couldn't fault it. The staff are brilliant, friendly, chatty, attentive as they can be even when busy.

This turned out to be somewhere I went for breakfast and stayed through till lunch, sat and watched the world go by, had good conversations, drinks and felt welcome. So much so it turned out to be my favourite place to go.

I went for a relaxing week away and I definitely spent more time here than anywhere else because of the warm welcome and consistently good service from the family and staff who looked after the place.

I will be going back to Santa Ponca again soon and I've no doubt I'll be spending my time and money here again should the experience be the same as last time.

Bad service. We started off with the "special 2/5€ beers," while waiting to decide on what else to order. We received attitude from the apparent owner. We decided not to try anything else but instead afterwards to go somewhere else. While sitting, we saw the owner pretending to be amazing and sweet standing behind the bar but treating her employees horribly. One customer came up to ask to pay. She sent him back to his table with a "smile" to his face. As soon as he walked off, she gave tge nastiest look his direction and mumbled rudely in Spanish. Not a place I would ever go to again, nor a place I could recommend. Zero stars. Z-e-r-o. My guess is those who rates above 1 star were far enough away to not see her pretense. Picture shows we were 5 feet away at all times so could see and hear it all. :-( In all fairness, nothing was wrong with the drinks nor the other staff appeared good. The food also...

We tried here for breakfast after reading good reviews about this place..I ordered the large breakfast and noticed the breakfast didn't come with tomatoes so I asked for tomatoes..which i didn't get when my breakfast arrived. My girlfriend ordered beans on toast and asked for 1 extra sausage. She got 2 sausages when her food came out and got charged €1.50 extra for a sausage. My breakfast was totally cold . When we ordered our food it took only 2/3 minutes to arrive on our table so it is not freshly cooked. When we got our bill my girlfriend stood up to stretch her legs ,that's when the owner came over and stood at our table when I was sorting our bill out. The bill was €16.95,I had got €15 on the table and was sorting €2 out in my bag .the owner picked the €15 up and was looking for the €2 on our table. A very rude owner who talked to her staff...
