Fat Sams Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Calvià

Oh dear....our experience here was not so good. Don't get me wrong, the food was amazing. We were seated, no probs. Drinks ordered and arrived, no probs. Food ordered with a smile, no probs. The first thing I noticed as it all began to go wrong was the 2 tables that were seated after us had there food delivered. Asked first waiting staff who said wait a second I'll find out. Never saw her again. Waited 5 more minutes and asked second waiting staff. Wait a second as she went to find out. At this point we had waited over 45 mins. She came back and said it's on its way. Now I don't know what that usually means to most people but I would have expected less than 5 mins. Apparently not. Waited 10 then asked 3rd. Waiting staff. It's on its way.....that's what last one said....but within a Mon the first 2 plates arrived but missing sides. Then a couple minutes later, next 2 plates arrived and all the sides. Not even a smile or an explanation or an apology in sight. Reason we got..wife ordered a steak that took ages to cook as she wanted it well done.....I don't think so. Anyway. We ate and then as I asked for bill I asked the 4th waiting staff if there was an issue with our order as it took nearly an hour. She went on a mission to find out....spotted some arguing and finger pointing. She then come back and profusely apologised for the other staff members. They knocked 10% off and I think I may have got some staff in trouble.....hey ho. I would definitely go back as food was amazing.....shame about the customer service but that might have just been a one off. Go...honestly...it's worth it as food is good. Decor is American theme and a nice setting with good views...

Came here as a party of 9 (including 3 children) we were sat beside folage with leaves falling down on the table and little flies. Took a while for the order to be taken and to come out. The food was tasty but over priced. They seemingly wanted us gone as they kept taking plates. Usually at home they wait for the party to be done before removing plates but they removed as people were finished. This made people who weren't done feel pressured. We wanted to split bill and were told no we had to do that ourselves (we had done this in every other place we ate in santa ponsa and never had an issue). As I mentioned the Food was good but for a simple burger €15 euro I think is a bit much and kids meals are €10 which again out prices every other establishment...

Could have been great, but let down by the kitchen. My wife was feeling under the weather and couldn't go out for dinner and hotel has no room service. So I ventured out for food. The host was great with taking order (spicy chicken wings, bbq ribs and chips) once food received and brought to hotel, notice chips unsalted, and no tub of ketchup as requested. Went back, the host was very nice of getting salt and ketchup in small tubs. Returned to hotel to realise chicken wings and ribs were no seasoned! Who serves American bbq without saucing the meat! Luckily the meat was good quality and its edible and service was brilliant but who is cooking in that kitchen has the right mind to serve bbq without the sauces on the meat?!...
