Located right in front of the beach in a hidden cove, Merchants Portals offers an unparalleled dining experience. This restaurant not only impresses with its prime location but also with the quality of its service and its delicious cuisine.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and friendliness, making us feel right at home. The service was exceptional, always attentive and willing to accommodate any request without being intrusive.
We started our dinner with an octopus carpaccio that left us speechless. The freshness of the octopus, combined with a perfectly balanced dressing, was a delight for the palate. The presentation of the dish was impeccable, reflecting the attention to detail that characterizes this restaurant.
For the main course, we chose the pasta chitarra. The pasta, cooked to perfection, was accompanied by a rich and savory sauce that wonderfully complemented the texture and flavor of the pasta. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that showcased the chef's culinary expertise.
The restaurant's atmosphere is equally charming. The sea view from our table was the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. The gentle sea breeze and the sound of the waves completed a sensory experience that is hard to surpass.
In conclusion, Merchants Portals is a gastronomic gem worth discovering. Whether for a romantic dinner, a special celebration, or simply to enjoy an excellent meal in a spectacular setting, this restaurant is a hidden treasure that is well worth a visit. We will definitely...
Read moreA very disappointing lunch. They have great marketing, but unfortunately the actual experience is far from idyllic. It's such a shame that the orientation of the restaurant isn't great. We were cold as the restaurant is completely sun deprived, we had to wear coats whilst watching a beach full of bikini clad swimmers. First course was ok, but the prawn tempura was drenched in chili that made them soggy and were far too spicy. The chicken césar salad on the other was very bland. So onto the main course. Rib eye and lamb, the quality price ratio wasn't respected. The duck roasted potatoes inedible as was other absolutely burnt vegetables. Gravy had a sweet oriental flavour and wasn't thickened enough, Yorkshire pudding cold and flavourless, no wonder it was so quiet. We ate what we could then went to a fabulous chiringuito on the...
Read moreA solid 5 stars - we are on the terrace which was gorgeous - they had a dj on but playing great music at the right volume - not intrusive but setting up a great vibe for the night. The staff were so helpful and friendly and welcoming - and Ricardo was wonderful. We had some amazing starters - the white fish ceviche and scallops to start and then both had the ribeye - best ribeye we have had! Truffle chips and broccoli delightful and the accompanying sauces blue cheese and peppercorn. We had the smores dessert to finish but that was the only slight disappointment - but we probably choice wrong due to our food tastes and we were so full from the mains. The wine menu was brilliant and lots of options by the glass if one of you drinks red and the other drinks white....
