ATTEMPTED SCAM

We were convinced to come in off the street from a bouncer on the door with special offer on drinks. We were seated outside and waited 10 minutes for anyone to approach us for an order, a female waitress took our order. We confirmed the price with her as we had been told it includes a shot and she had not taken this part of the order and she said “oh okay yes what would you like” and took the order.

The bill came and it was exactly double the price that we had been quoted at entry. We queried this with the waitress and a male supervisor / manager approached us. He explicitly told us that he “did not believe us” as the deal did not include cocktails and that his staff would have told us that. All four of us were on our first bar of the evening and completely sober and all could recall that we confirmed this deal with the waitress and Nobody told us that it did not include certain drinks. Eventually, they agreed to honour the price and walked away. Afterwards, the waitress who was pleasant, came down and apologised to us. We received no apology from the male supervisor.

As someone who has worked many years in hospitality myself, I would never have dealt with clients in this manor and to tell them “ I do not believe you”. It was an embarrassing experience as they made a scene and the entire bar area was watching.

Went to this bar twice. First time we watched the Italy x Croatia game (for Euro 2024 cup) and both the staff and the environment was great. We got to watch the game in an English Channel with sound on so everybody could hear the comments as we all do in a football game. Second time we were passing by and we were invited in by the staff to watch the Portugal x Georgia game (we are Portuguese and had Portuguese shirts on). We asked if they would play the sound and we were told that close to the game they would switch from music to the comments. As it was being showed in an Arabic channel we asked if there was any English or even Spanish channel broadcasting the game since it was easier for everyone there to understand. We were told they could only show it in the Arab channel it was on but still with comments and sound on. When it got to game time, they didn’t ever switch off the music and after many times asking if it was possible to actually turn the sound of the game on, we finally got a no as an answer 15 minutes after the start of the game. I understand this is a bar/club but everyone else in the outside area like us were watching the exact game. Just don’t understand the difference between both situations to be treated differently. We came here two nights in a row our first night we ordered a couple of cocktails and had an OK experience we weren’t there for long however our second night we intended on coming back to drink more and dance in the nightclub. There was a promotion for €10 you get two cocktails and two shots, when we went in, we were surprised as it sounded too good to be true indeed it was. we had so many drinks 4 cocktails and 4 shots. We offered them to people sitting beside us, and they said that the shot tasted like water upon hearing that I smelled it and indeed, the vodka was watered down severely, I went to taste my drinks and they tasted like pure juice and water. No alcohol present or very very minimal super disappointing because the place has potential but clearly these unethical behaviours make people not want to return. All 10 of us ended up leaving.
