Waina — Restaurant in Calvià

What a wonderful evening we had last night for my husband’s birthday. We had such a warm welcome from the lovely husband and wife team Deborah & Mokhtar. Fabulous seat overlooking the bay. The mojito & aperol spritz were both perfectly made. We had a couple of starters, really light filo pastry filled with chicken and herbs followed by some rostis of chicken and vegetable. We then had chicken noodles plus picante beef and salad. Everything was absolutely delicious including the white wine, Verdejo. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. They owners are so enthusiastic and very obviously care about their food and their guests. Fabulous evening all round and reasonably priced. Thank you for making our night special Deborah & Mokhtar. We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back. I shall add this review to Navily which is our sailing community app as I’m sure they’d also appreciate Waina Tavern !! Best regards...

Beautiful views, delicious food, and lovely service from start to finish.

We found the restaurant on Trip Advisor, and seeing all the positive reviews, had to give it a try.

We were greeted and seated in minutes and got a great table. Definitely prebook if you want one with a view.

Our server explained the menu and how it was a fusion of Asian and European cuisine.

We chose some Asian tapas: chicken satay, spring rolls, and sweet potato fries with a lovely dip. These were followed by ribbon noodles with vegetables and a red Thai curry with sticky rice.

Funny to think we'd have room for dessert! But between the two of us, we struggled to eat it all. I mean, we didn't leave much! It was too nice to leave.

Next time, I think I'd go straight to the main course so I could have space for the coconut rice and mango sorbet.

Delicious food, fantastic cocktails, great vine and happy positive vibes !!! I choose Wayne Thai Fusion to treat my friend for her birthday and we had a truly beautiful time eating and drinking and enjoying ourselfes, the friendly atmosphere and the ambience is fabulous with a view of Santa Ponca Bay with a super attentive and friendly service : )) We are definitely going back! Adam recommended the Papaya salad, which was delicious. I loved the crispy prawns and my friend choose the red curry, we loved everything, including the drinks.
