Asador Argentino Puerto Madero Cambrils — Restaurant in Cambrils

Went here to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. Firstly things were great, as we arrived for the first sitting at 13.15 so the restaurant was quiet. A glass of cava on the house and aperitivos. Starters great too. That's when things changed. Main course - steak - inedible as was very tough. Mixed grill - some meats again were inedible. Vegetable garnish - potatoes, peppers were uncooked and hard. The waitress asked us when collecting the plates how everything was and we said not good. Showed her the inedible food left on the plates. That was it, no apology, no money off when paying the bill. A waiter came to take our dessert order then disappeared again without taking it and we tried to get someone's attention but the staff were running about to other tables. Only were 4 staff for the whole restaurant. Impossible for them to keep on top of everything. Another waiter then came to tell us our table was needed for the next sitting at 15.30 and we explained we still hadn't had dessert yet. So quickly we ordered desserts. Was a real shame as the restaurant is lovely and the staff try their best. Will not return and would definitely not recommend to others to go. Disappointed...

Es un restaurante al que, en principio, merece muchísimo la pena ir. De hecho nosotros hemos repetido por segundo día consecutivo. Si bien es cierto que el primer día el servicio era muy mejorable, el segundo fue perfecto. No obstante, y aquí el motivo de las 4 estrellas y no 5, es que pidiendo en algunos casos los mismos platos en ambas ocasiones, el primer día estuvieron muchísimo mejor que el segundo. El vacío, por ejemplo, que el primer día tenía un sabor inmejorable, el día siguiente estaba totalmente seco, sin ningún sabor y bastante incomible. Aún así, creemos que fue algún despiste de cocina puntual, ya que mayormente todo estaba bueno. Por otro lado, el hecho de que el precio del menú entre semana (entre las 13:30 y las 15:30) cueste alrededor de 15€ hace que sea uno de los mejores restaurantes en los que hemos comido en cuanto a relación calidad-precio. En cuanto a las medidas de higiene que se tienen que mantener por la situación excepcional del coronavirus, nos hemos percatado de que el personal lleva las mascarillas de una forma inadecuada y tocándolas por la parte exterior casi de forma continuada. Aún así, la parte peor viene en cocina donde los cocineros no llevan ninguno de los dos mascarilla. Entendemos que hace muchísimo calor, pero ello no puede ser impedimento para garantizar la seguridad de los clientes. En principio este último hecho de higiene bajaría la nota bastante, pero dada la situación excepcional que vivimos, creo que sería inadecuado evaluar al restaurante por algo que en situaciones normales no va a tener que vivir.

Por tanto, creemos que es un restaurante más que recomendable al que ir aunque no estés siquiera alojado...

This Argentinian restaurant was scored by us with a five star rating in all aspects. Situated in a quiet side street, off the busy center, it offers a beautiful outdoor terrace for the summer. The service was quick and polite and done with a smile, despite the fact that it was fully packed. Our food was excellent, the meat extra soft and the portions huge.
