I ordered pizzas to go, the waiter took my order and asked me to wait 30 minutes. I came back after 40 minutes, but my order hadn’t even been started. The waiter asked me to wait another 10 minutes. I feel I usually make the right choices when I pick somewhere to eat, but sadly in this case I was off target. Perhaps it was because it was Sunday night in late October but the staff were pretty indifferent to our presence and ‘service’ was barely that. La peor experiencia que hemos tenido jamás en un restaurante. Desde el primer momento el ambiente fue desagradable: presenciamos cómo un camarero mayor trataba de forma despectiva y constante a un compañero más joven, algo que ya nos incomodó profundamente. A esto se sumó una espera larguísima solo para que nos tomaran nota.

Aun así, decidimos quedarnos. Sin embargo, los entrantes tardaron más de una hora en llegar. Al comentarlo, el camarero, visiblemente nervioso, se excusó de muy mala manera diciendo que estaba solo y sin recursos, aunque claramente no lo estaba. Uno de los platos, la ensalada de burrata, no era lo que se esperaba: el queso parecía más bien mozzarella y tenía un sabor agrio que las cuatro personas en la mesa percibimos claramente.

Lo mencionamos con educación, pero el camarero reaccionó de forma muy defensiva y grosera, negando cualquier posibilidad de error y dejando claro su falta de profesionalidad y autocrítica. Decidimos entonces pedir la cuenta para pagar las bebidas e irnos.

Y ahí ocurrió lo peor: el cocinero salió ofendido a increparnos por criticar su plato, probó el queso frente a nosotros y, en lugar de disculparse, se mostró absolutamente irrespetuoso, casi burlón, diciendo que no sabíamos apreciar su producto. Todo esto ocurrió frente a otros clientes y nos hizo sentir realmente incómodos.
