Goiko — Restaurant in Cartagena

Very impressive place overall. I wish they had more locations. Food was great and the service was even better. I wouldn’t be surprised if our waiter had his PhD. He came out within minutes to our table outside, and asked our drink order. He was incredibly polite, and clear on the menu. He answered all of our questions. With a smile.

He then promptly returned with the drinks. The drinks both came with a fruit garnish. Orange for my Fanta, and lemon for the Coke Zero (Zero). And a trona for our 1 year old. He then explain the menu again with questions we had. We ordered. He had all of the food come out all the same exact time and it was all hot a fresh.

The experience overall could not have been more rehearsed and perfect. Very very impressed by Goiko Grill. This place obviously cares a great deal about their business. The prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for: quality service and quality quality food. ...

I’ve eaten here and has superb service but today was not great. Our party of 7 ordered 2 M30s and we were then told that there was no goat cheese. She then asked if they could substitute, sure- I had the cheddar cheese and our child declined the other cheeses because of allergies. Well, they charged us the same for his burger. We explained to our server how we felt that we shouldn’t be charged the same for a hamburger patty and onions. They said there was nothing they could do until we asked for una hoja de reclamaciones. First tried Goiko 3 years back in Murcia when I was here for summer vacation. Made a recent visit to the outlet in Cartagena and food is still as delicious as the first bite I had. The place was fully occupied (with limited outdoor seats due to the current pandemic restrictions) so we had to revisit after the lunch hours and must say it was worth the wait! The menu has expanded with a variety of selection to suit your preferences. We had the appetizer platter (can't remember what it's called but the donut-shaped cheese with jamon was incredible!). We also ordered the La Pepper (new on menu) and La Kiki which exceeded our expectations!
