Sibuya Urban Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Cartagena

We have just had lunch here and despite the upmarket appearance the food itself was not very good at all. The staff were attentive and the food came in good time. I appreciate that they are marketing themselves as a sushi restaurant, but we ordered noodles as neither of us wanted sushi. When the bowls arrived, one was still cold and the other was half empty. And of course, being given a bowl of cold noodles immediately tells you that you are getting microwave food. This was confirmed by the loud ‘ping’ from the kitchen when the dish was being further heated. As I have already stated, the restaurant has an upmarket appearance which would lead you to believe that they serve freshly prepared food. I did not expect to be served half a Japanese t.v. dinner. Fuimos a cenar, y llamamos para reservar a las 13 de la tarde. A las 16 me llaman para confirmar la reserva y advertirme que si tardo mas de 10 min ( por teléfono decian 15) levantarían la mesa. Al ser fiestas nos costó acceder al sitio, pero llegamos a tiempo.

Valoramos precio Calidad precio bastante elevado, 74 euros. Poca cantidad y calidad normal.

Valoracion de la comida Fuimos a cenar a cenar motivados por las buenas reseñas que leímos en google, el local esta bien ubicado, es agradable y cuenta con buena iluminación. La decepción ha venido con la comida. Pedimos unos udons salteados con setas (12 euros aprox), buenos de sabor, pero con una cantidad irrisoria, que apenas daba para probar, fue tal la sorpresa que se lo comentamos a la camarera, que nos dijo que la cantidad era la correcta. Seguimos por un tartar y unos rolls de salmon. El tartar normal, aunque con soja ganaba en sabor, los rolls estaban buenos. Las gyozas fueron una decepción, al ser fritas en vez de al vapor. Tambien pedimos unos rolls de atún hervido, por probar algo novedoso, la siguiente sorpresa fue comprobar que el atún hervido era atún de lata, para quitarnos la espina de que el atún fuese de lata ,decidimos pedir otros rolls de atún, para probar el atún que tenían en barra, de ellos nos pareció que el queso crema con el que lo combinaban enmascaraba totalmente el sabor.

En general la experiencia no ha sido grata, ya que para una cena de 75 euros, nos decantamos por el Enzo sin dudar.

The service was so bad it ruined the atmosphere of the entire place. Every server acted like we were an inconvenience at every turn, even if all we did was order an extra plate or let them know that they gave us someone else’s order. There was no excuse, the restaurant was half empty. The food was good at least, it’s nothing special and there’s much better sushi out there. I would’ve rather ordered it through delivery because then I wouldn’t need to experience that...
