Have visited here on several occasions. You cannot fault the service, the food or the value for money. We visited with my stepdaughter, partner and two grandkids back in 2018 and the bill for six mains, dessert, a bottle of wine and other drinks came to less than €100. We have been treated like family on every occasion we've visited.
Our last visit was in September 2019. We were staying all-inclusive in Santo Tomas around 20 miles away but hired a car for the day. We visited several resorts on the island but paid a special visit to see Emilio. As we approached the restaurant he spotted us, waved & smiled and embraced us with a warm hug.
We're returning in September 2024 and I'm fairly sure that Emilio will give us the same warm welcome as previously. We can't wait!
So we returned in September 2024 as promised. On our first night in the resort (my birthday) we visited the restaurant. We chose a table where we wanted to sit but before we had the chance to sit down, Emilio saw us. He gave a big beaming smile and came over to see us. He embraced us and gave a welcoming hug!
We said that we were concerned that Covid may have seen the closure of his restaurant but he told us how he'd managed to keep the business alive. We were so glad to hear it. We had our usual personal service. It was comforting to know that we were still remembered after 5 years.
On our last night we returned. We received the usual warm welcome. Between arriving and leaving, we had a starter and a main. We weren't rushed between the courses. Emilio took the time (in between welcoming other patrons) to talk to us and to pour the wine we'd ordered.
We can't stress enough the value for money that the restaurant offers. Starters, mains & a bottle of wine on both occasions came to less than €60. When asking for the bill, Emilio will usually offer a shot glass of a lemon-based drink to refresh the palate. On our last visit we were given a wine glass with the drink.
We asked what the drink was, expecting to be told it was a 'home-made' refresher. Not so. It was gin-based with the lemon ingredients.
Emilio went the extra mile to recognise his customers. We've never visited a restaurant anywhere that the owner has offered such service. We don't have a planned date when we'll return to the resort. It doesn't matter; on our next visit to the island, wherever we stay, we'll...
Read moreThis is a great place, Emilio is really friendly and is always really happy to serve you (as are the rest of the staff) - nothing is too much trouble.
We tried various food here, breakfast, tapas, pizza, paella and all really good and reasonably priced too. The service is quick.
A nice selection of drinks, beers cocktails, sangria again well priced.
There is a bouncing castle and trampoline too so the kids are entertained while you can have a relaxing beer or 2 in...
Read moreVery nice, well ventilated place considering the heat, the staff were very friendly, welcoming and considerate. Only complaint i have is i had sausage and chips, the chips were good but the sausage was undecooked, we sent it back and got a new one but it seemed to have been deepfried and returned, also the new sausage they returned was still pink in the middle. Dissapointed but a decent experience...
