We loved our brunch at this beautiful cafe. Ordering is done via your phone (QR code on the table) and you pay when you order, which makes it nice to be able to leave without waiting for a check when you’re done. The “large brunch” is HUGE and includes two drinks (I chose cappuccino and freshly squeezed orange juice), a main entree (I chose avocado toast with egg- fantastic, and I loved that the type of bread used was very thin and crunchy) For the sweet pastry option I chose cinnamon roll. The large brunch also comes with a unsweetened Greek/strained yogurt topped with granola. I eat yogurt and granola almost daily and this was some of the best yogurt I’ve ever eaten. It was very creamy, not too acerbic and did not need any sweetener. The meal also includes a croissant. I wasn’t able to eat the whole meal and ended up taking the croissant to go.
The ordering process has a few quirks (it would not let me order a cappuccino without a special request (cocoa, cinnamon, “extra hot milk,” etc.) And the croissant and yogurt must both be selected to complete the order or it won’t let you submit it. Maybe it’s just my jet lagged brain, but that wasn’t intuitive to me.
The interior is decorated beautifully and is more spacious than it first appears, with cozy seating in two back rooms. Service was friendly and...
Read moreBeautifully decorated place with a menu that offer things different to the average Spanish place. The coffee was fabulous, big and creamy, they don't give you sugar, you have to ask for it. The orange juice was also very good perhaps too small. I ordered pouched eggs with salmon, I asked for capers or Tabasco sauce or pepper, they didn't have it. I understand not having capers or Tabasco sauce but pepper should be available with the salt. Unfortunately the eggs were raw, and no, you cannot tell me these were even 3 minutes poached eggs, a poached egg should be soft with a liquid yolk and a edible white, these eggs were totally raw as you can see in the photo, the whole white was raw and liquid, I was unable to eat it, you will need a straw to "drink it"! I will happily pay those prices for something done properly. I hope you pay attention to the feedback and improve those details then the place could become a favorite for sure, it has...
Read moreI was in Cuenca for 2 days and came to MeLatte 3 times! On the first morning I had the most outstanding double espresso. I was also delighted to find that they had a low carb breakfast which you could build with options of your choosing. All of the breakfast elements were high quality and well seasoned. Brilliant! On the second occasion I came for a pot of chamomile tea. It was high quality loose flower tea. Finally, the next day I did a full repeat of the low carb breaky with another double espresso. This second coffee was not quite as amazing as the first, but still very good. The atomosphere is fresh and inviting. There’s complementary water. MeLatte was a highlight of my...
