Restaurante Can Quet — Restaurant in Deià

Really disappointing meal. The amuse bouche of watermelon gazpacho was ruined by the taste of rancid old oil used to crisp up the croutons. The slow cooked shoulder of lamb I had tasted like it had been boiled and then basted briefly in the same old oil. None of the rest of the mains were great.

The place isn't fabulous either. The terrace was infested with wasps, and the approach to the terrace via a presentation suite laid out ready for a business meeting didn't really get you in the mood for a great meal. It soon became clear why some of the other reviews mention the feeling of a very corporate hotel. That's what it's like.

On the plus side the staff were really helpful and friendly. But it's not enough, I'm afraid. ...

We enjoyed the restaurant the first night we were in Deià that we came back the next night too. First night I had sea bass and my husband had the steak. Both were excellent.

Second night we shared the pork shoulder and the ribs. Both were good but the ribs definitely stole the show! They were great.

Our server both nights was incredible. I wish I remembered her name but she was very attentive and made our experience here fantastic.
