Came with expectation, left with disappointment.
We went there for my husband’s birthday celebration. When I made the reservation, I remarked that is for birthday celebration and asked for the table with best view. When I arrived, the staff told me there were 2 tables I couldn’t choose because these were reserved. I also made the reservation and I did request a table with good view. Why some customers had higher priority? Eventually she allowed me to choose that table that I wished but my mood was ruined.
Talking about the food, we ordered foie gras and fish soup as the starters, Iberico pork and skate wing for main dishes. These were not up to my standard. Foie gras: seared to perfection but not enough seasoning. Came with spinach at the bottom which didn’t pair well with foie gras at all. Mediterranean fish soup: not bad but wish they provided rouille or something alike. skate wing with breaded squid, grilled asparagus: they don’t complement each other and quite salty. I didn’t bother to return because I felt like they would re-do the dish but I was not interested to try again Iberico pork wrapped with ham: quite bland. Was expecting seared crust but it turned out the meat tasted like the whole cooking process was done in the oven. Didn’t recall the description in the menu so it might be me having wrong expectation.
Not sure if any staff member remembered I had remarked that’s birthday celebration, but we didn’t both to order dessert anyway.

I had the truffle tagliatelle to start, and then the rack of lamb. I had a religious experience with the dessert- their specialty, the caramel-miso-marinated plum situation. I ate every bite of everything that was served to me, and I’d like to think they were impressed by my appetite for a small woman. The patio has epic views, It was full so I sat inside, which was lovely and cozy as well. The service was top notch, even though I was the random “chica sola” who showed up with no reservation. I’d drive to and from Palma just to come here for dinner....

To start, they served homemade spelt bread—which may be some of the best bread I’ve ever had. We split the focaccia and their salad. The salad dressing was incredible. We also split the lamb chops and the chicken breast. We ordered the lamb medium, and it was a bit less done than we typically would have thought, but it was still delicious. The chicken breast was small but some of the most tender and delicious chicken we’ve ever had.
A go-to dinner spot if you’re ever in Deia!
Ps. The old fashion cocktail...
