LA SEDA Veggie kitchen — Restaurant in Elx / Elche

I nearly died eating here. Literally had to go into hospital as I had an allergic reaction to the first course dish. I specifically told them I had nut allergies and which options would be suitable. Dishes were recommended and I was assured it wouldn’t contain anything. Half way through my soup I found traces of what looked like nuts. My fingers were already going red. I asked if this was a mistake. Again reassured there was no “frutos secos” and then another person told me it contained something which she said was not a “fruto seco” told me to google it (logistics…while I had an allergic reaction). I had to take some medication to stop this. When asking for the bill we were charged for wine and sangria 3€ each on top of the set menu as apparently those were not classified as “refrescos” but they didn’t bother to tell us that. I was charged for my dish that nearly killed me and I had changed my dessert as carrot cake had “no nuts” but the topping did have nuts which I again had to ask specifically about otherwise they wouldn’t have told me. My dessert was charged extra for, as it wasn’t apparently on the menu. On complaining I was told cheekily that I had eaten most of the bowl of soup!! They said as a one off they would discount 5€ from the menu in a snide way. Terrible service and no customer service skills. Especially since they had 4 tables with customers in the whole restaurant! It wasn’t even busy and now we know why…. The food would be great if it didn’t give me an allergic reaction. Don’t go there if you have dietary requirements. We were here for lunch and we loved it. The price quality ratio is amazing. For only €16 we got a 4 course meal! It wasn't easy to choose our dishes because the menu offered a lot of interesting options. Everything tasted very fresh and was well made. The staff was friendly and efficient. If you're into good vegetarian food I'd definitely recommend checking out...

Awesome Location to get vegan food, super friendly service. Had no problem without Spanish, although I cheated and used Google Lens to translate the Carta :)

The food is very delicious, you get more than u should probably eat at a time haha.

Had the brownie as a dessert which was really nice, and the cafe solo too. The other 3 courses were good, too,...
