Barefoot Restaurant Mallorca — Restaurant in Felanitx

Our visit to the Barefoot Restaurant in Mallorca yesterday was unfortunately anything but satisfactory.

After finally being able to order, it took more than an hour for our food to be served. Unfortunately arrived at our table cold. It seemed as if the kitchen was completely overwhelmed with six occupied tables. Our neighboring table, which arrived 15 minutes after us, had to wait even longer for their order and, after complaining about the long wait, received bread and olives on the house and then the main course a minute later, which also caused them to shake their heads.

As for the wait staff, we were disappointed by their unfriendliness and inattentiveness. For example, they didn't ask for new drinks and didn't care if salt or anything else was needed.

It was particularly annoying that two couples were turned away at half past nine, even though the restaurant was nowhere near full. It was almost as if they didn't want to serve any more guests. However, guests from the hotel were still being served at 22:15. Guests who just wanted a drink outside were also turned away.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the Barefoot Restaurant. For a restaurant in this price range you should expect much more. We hope that the hotel management will take this criticism seriously and make urgent...

Unfortunate Experience at Barefoot

We had a generally nice evening at Barefoot — the setting was lovely, and the food was good. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by an issue that we feel needs to be addressed.

Partway through the meal, our son started complaining about itching and discomfort. When we looked closer, we saw he had multiple bites on his legs, arms, and even a on his face. We soon realized that the chair he had been sitting on which is made of a rough, natural fabric, was infested with pissants. You could actually see the ants moving around in the chair.

We informed the staff right away and pointed out the specific chair so it could be removed or cleaned. Their only response was to offer to call a doctor, which we would have had to pay for ourselves.

We ended up paying for our meal and leaving. Our son now has to stay out of the sun and pool to avoid irritating the bites further, which is obviously not ideal during a holiday.

We hope the restaurant takes this seriously, as it’s something that could easily be prevented in the future with better attention to cleanliness and...

Very disappointed. Came here expecting decent food as it was highlighted as a great restaurant by the hotel. Left incredibly dissatisfied. At first we were standing at the door waiting for 5-10 minutes, while being ignored, waiting to be seated. We finally had to ask at the bar, where they seemed annoyed. I ordered the steak and my wife had the lobster pasta. The stake came with a sour sauce - presuming balsamic (but the waiter didn’t know when asking even tho they only had 6 mains on the menu), that completely ruined the taste of the meat which to be fair was tender and good quality. The sides were tasteless and only tried to be fancy in appearance. The lobster was burned and the pasta was tasteless and overcooked. While eating we were never asked how the food was, if we needed anything else to drink etc. Very poor service as well unfortunately.

Considering it’s supposed to be a fancy resturant with high prices I expected significantly more. Go...
